And Katie Price was roundly mocked for her ‘creaky’ singing as she revealed a sneak peek of her latest single on this week’s The Katie Price Show podcast.
The 45-year-old shared a snippet of her new song during Thursday’s episode, which she hosts with her sister Sophie.
The former glamor model is set to try to relaunch her music career with a cover of We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off.
The original was released in 1986 by American R&B singer Jermaine Stewart, with multiple covers since including versions by Clea, Lil’ Chris and Ella Eire.

As well as the clip itself, Katy relived some of her past singing moments, including her Eurovision attempt and her 2010 single Free To Love Again which barely made it to number 60 in the charts.
Podcast listeners heard Katie’s nine-year-old daughter Bunny saying how much she loved her mom’s new song, and Bunny admitted to Katie that she’s been trying to sing it too.
But despite her family’s support, many followers flooded the podcast’s comments mocking Katy’s singing abilities.
One wrote: ‘Someone close to her needs to be honest at some point and give her a reality check.’
One follower begged her to stop, they said: “Katie who convinced you that you can sing because they have to be locked up.” Listen love YOU CAN’T SING you scream but you don’t sing obviously you hear something different from everyone else… stop stop stop’.
Others however commented in support of Katy’s ambition to relaunch her music career, with one commenting: ‘Wow!.! Some really sharp comments here. How about you say nothing?
“We are ALL entitled to our opinions, but we just don’t need some.” She is unlikely to stop singing just because some strangers on the internet tell her she can’t sing.
Another defended Kate’s singing abilities: “You’ve always been able to sing, love your voice!” Play more tunes, love to you and your sister’.
Singing: Katy made her music industry debut alongside ex-husband Peter Andre for their single A Whole New World in 2006 and almost represented the UK at Eurovision 2005.
Katy revealed to her fans a few weeks ago that a new single is in the works after she shared a few snaps with X Factor’s Scarlett Lee in the recording studio.
The new cover should be released next week.
Scarlett, who came second in the 15th series of The X Factor and has been friends with Katy for the past few years, took to Instagram ahead of their reunion.
She wrote: ‘On my way to see my girlfriend @katieprice’.
Katy made her chart debut alongside ex-husband Peter Andre for their single A Whole New World in 2006.
She has since released three singles, with her song Free to Love Again charting at number 60, while her other two songs, I Got U and Hurricane, failed to reach the UK charts.
But she faces stiff competition as her son Junior, 18, builds a career in the music industry.
Singer friend: Katy revealed to her fans a few weeks ago that a new single is in the works after sharing some snaps with The X Factor’s Scarlett Le e in the recording studio Scarlett came second in The X Factor 2018 series 15.
