Katie Price furiously denies she is ‘high’ during chaotic Instagram live

Katie Price furiously denied being “high” on her daughter Princess Andre’s Instagram live on Tuesday night.

The former glamor model, 45, who has struggled with substance abuse in the past, was asked by fans if she was on drink or drugs, who claimed she slurred her words.

Hitting back, Katie said it was due to taking drugs before ranting against those who called for a pet-owning ban after her German Shepherd, Blade, was hit by a car earlier this month.

Katie read the comments during the live performance of 15-year-old Princess and said: ‘Everyone says I sound high.

‘I’m not high at all. I take medication for my ADHD. I suffer from severe PTSD. I don’t have to explain myself. They don’t know the real situation.’

Princess told her mom to do an Instagram live on her own page because she wanted to watch Love Island.

Katie then went live on her own page, taking fans on a tour of her mansion in Surrey, nicknamed the Mucky Mansion.

However, she was enraged by a viewer who had told her not to have any animals after showing her dogs on camera.

The star – who recently split from her fiancé Carl Woods – has lost several pets over the past six years, now including five dogs, a horse and even her chameleon, Marvin.

Animal charity PETA said she has “blood on her hands” and a petition to ban her from keeping any more animals has garnered more than 33,000 signatures.

During the Instagram live, Katie told viewers that the RSPCA had come to her house for an inspection and that she had “ticked every box” when it comes to animal welfare.

“Who said I couldn’t have animals? Tell me why I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why? I’m going to prove you assholes wrong who say and believe anything,” she said.

“It’s like my driver’s license tells someone I’m not allowed to drive for medical reasons, someone from the public said it and I proved them wrong. I had the RSPCA and they ticked every box saying my animals are healthy.

“They ticked every box. I can’t be bothered to go to the top floor… or shall I just prove a point? Or is it here? Let me see,” Katie said.

“I’m going to prove to you that the RSPCA was here, did an inspection, and I passed everything.”

Blade’s death comes just seven months after another of Katie’s dogs, Sharon, was killed on the same road.

The petition to ban Katie from having more pets was launched three years ago and within a year signatures rose to 10,000.

In the wake of her Pomeranian Sharon’s death — after the dog escaped through an open gate and was knocked down — in November 2022, the petition gained an additional 16,000 supporters.

The critics behind the petition wrote: ‘A puppy has died in the care of Katie Price in the past 24 hours. She bought this puppy three weeks ago for her 13-year-old child, who died in an accident that no one witnessed…

Sad: The star has endured a slew of tragedies over the past six years, including the deaths of now five dogs, a horse, and even her chameleon, Marvin (Rolo is pictured dying in an accident)

‘Over the past five years, more animals have died due to lack of care. Horses, dogs, cats, lizards, hedgehogs. This is not some family tragedy. It’s normal at Katie Price’s house. Two dogs have been hit…

‘Puppies were found drowning in a neglected swimming pool. A horse was hit on a highway. Animals just disappear into her house never to be seen again. Her guard dog broke into her neighbor’s yard and killed their chickens…

A dog trained to attack humans. Also ripped apart her cat. The neglect [is] seen on her show My Crazy Life. Cat poop with mold on it. Dog poop is just on the floor. Clothes are dumped everywhere…

‘Alger [sic] growing in her pool where her puppy drowned. She jokes about her filthy mansion. But it’s no joke that animals are dying because of her lack of care…

Being left alone to die prematurely and no one says “enough is enough” and continues to sell her animals. For three weeks, a bulldog puppy named Rola was in her care…

“Nobody knows, not even them, how it died. We have to stop this now that no more animals have to die.’

Katie took to Instagram earlier this week to reveal that the RSPCA had “no worries” when they came to visit.

She wrote: “Update. RSPCA has been to my home with no concern for my animals and never had or had.

“But we’re trying to piece together how Blade was killed and what his final steps were, as this is a deliberate target to kill him.”
