Katie Piper admits she was left in tears during the flight to the US to film a new show
Katie Piper took to her Instagram Story on Sunday to document his horrendous trip to the US, which ended in a flood of tears.
The 39-year-old television personality claimed that he had experienced ’72 Hours from Hell’, in which one of the blood vessels in his eye burst before his luggage was lost or stolen.
He had been crossing the pond to photograph his new w documentary, Babies Behind Bars, where you will investigate women who are pregnant while in prison.

Katie will visit women who are juggling pregnancy while serving their sentence, as they face harrowing decisions about the fate of their children.
The series will have five episodes and will premiere at the end of 2023.
Sharing a snapshot of her eight-year-old daughter Belle, she wrote: “Saying goodbye to the kids for the next 10 days.”
In another post taken from her seat on the plane, Katie added: “So proceed to have 72 hours of hell after that…”

The former Strictly contestant uploaded a bloody snap of her bloodshot eye, continuing: “The day before my flight, blood vessels burst in my bad eye.” Luckily I was able to fly and I’m fine, it was more mentally it caused me stress and anxiety.
Katie’s latest medical problem came as a result of a long list of complications she suffered from a sulfuric acid attack in 2008.
The mother of two is blind in one eye as a result of the attack, carried out by Stefan Sylvestre Lynch on the orders of her obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch.
She wrote in another story: ‘After a 10-hour flight, I landed in Atlanta to find my luggage was lost or stolen. I stayed at the airport for hours trying to track him down but it was a lost cause.

The author and Loose Women panelist will take a deep dive into the United States judicial system for the new series.
Already volunteering in UK prisons, Katie is intrigued to see how different things will be across the pond in some of the most talked about prisons.
She explained: ‘I am delighted to be working with W Channel in 2023. I have always had a keen interest in real life documentary formats and Piper Behind Bars is already proving to be a fascinating project.
‘As a long-time volunteer in UK women’s prisons, I am intrigued by the different treatment within the US system.
Coming soon: She had been traveling across the pond to film her new W documentary, Babies Behind Bars, where she will investigate women who are pregnant while in prison.
“I have no idea what to expect when I’m on the other side of the Atlantic, but that’s the magic of a documentary. I can’t wait to see how this project develops.’
The blonde beauty will speak to women who are not only negotiating a prison sentence, but are also mothers and accepting what that means for their children’s future.
While the series will also look at how women are cared for and treated in prisons during pregnancy.

Katie has two children with her husband Richard James Sutton; Belle Elizabeth, eight, and Penelope, five.
