Katie Holmes looked classy as she took a solo stroll in New York City on Saturday.
The 44-year-old actress — who has helped her teenage daughter Suri, 17, apply to college — dressed for the warm NYC temperatures with a white tank top, yellow cargo pants and white sneakers.
The Batman Begins star appeared to be going makeup-free, styling her long brunette locks into a topknot and carrying a brown handbag.
The star accompanied a child’s gold necklace and oversized black sunglasses.
Katie recently promoted her new movie Rare Objects and appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show last month.

The Dawson’s Creek alumna revealed that Barrymore inspired her to start producing her own films.
Holmes explained that she came to believe she could make her own productions after watching Drew make her own movies, including Never Been Kissed, Charlie’s Angels, Duplex, and Fever Pitch.
“I’m such a fan of yours, and everything you’ve done in your career has been an inspiration, and it gives me confidence, because when you started producing, I was like, ‘Oh, can we do that? Women can do that?” said Holmes, who is a producer of Rare Objects.
Last year, there was a trailer for a rom-com starring and directed by Katie, Alone Together, in which Suri sang Blue Moon on the soundtrack, while her mother praised her daughter as “the best.”
In March, Katie’s daughter began applying to college with her mother’s help — but the teen’s famous father, Tom Cruise, won’t help her because the actor “plays no part” in his child’s life.
A source close to Holmes told the DailyMail.com in March that Suri “has sent out some applications” and “tends to” study fashion in NYC, a choice that her style-conscious mother, Katie, would be very pleased to make.
However, the source notes that while Tom won’t help Suri choose where she goes to school, he will pay her tuition, according to his top-secret divorce agreement with Holmes.
While Katie is taking an active role in helping her daughter apply for college, the teen’s father, Mission Impossible star Tom, 60, will have no part in the process — he has been estranged from his daughter since 2013, a year after he and Katie divorced.

At the time of their split, it was reported that Katie had chosen to end the couple’s marriage for fear of raising her daughter to be a Scientologist – a religion to which Tom is incredibly devoted.
Her decision to leave the religion and marriage caused a major rift between the former spouses, resulting in the relationship between Tom and Suri becoming more and more distant over the years.
The insider explained that Tom has ‘no part in it’ [Suri’s] life” – after it was previously revealed that the pair hadn’t seen each other in years.
Tom disagreed that his religion caused him to become estranged from Suri.
In 2013, Tom sued In Touch magazine for $50 million when the outlet reported that he had “abandoned” his daughter.
When the case went to court, Tom said he couldn’t see Suri because of his busy work schedule.
Tom and Katie were among the most iconic couples of the early 2000s. After a year of dating, they married in November 2006 in a lavish ceremony in Italy.
The Dawson’s Creek actress filed for divorce from him six years later, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to their divorce papers, Tom agreed to pay Katie $400,000 a year until Suri turned 18 years old.

The documents also state that Tom agreed to pay for all of Suri’s expenses, including “medical, dental, insurance, education, college, and other extracurricular costs.”
However, the Mission Impossible actor is not present in Suri’s life.
Tom reportedly hasn’t seen Suri in over 10 years, but he does have a close relationship with the two children he shares with Nicole Kidman, Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28.
Nicole, on the other hand – who filed for divorce in 2001 after 11 years of marriage due to Tom’s Scientology ties – has not spoken to Tom in nearly 20 years.
