Katie Holmes leaves home with wet hair while looking casual chic in a tan overcoat as she rides the subway in New York City
Katie Holmes was out and about when she was spotted on the Downtown Manhattan subway on Sunday.
Like every other New Yorker, the actress, writer and director stood on the platform waiting for the next train looking casually chic in black slacks, a white patterned shirt and white shoes.
With the temperature hovering just above freezing, she covered herself with a light brown overcoat as she checked her phone for messages.
It looks like the former Dawson’s Creek star left the house in a bit of a hurry as she lay in a subway station with her head wet.
Her long locks were styled long, straight and flowing with a parting on the right side to match the wet look.

Wearing dark sunglasses while sitting in the middle of the hustle and bustle of New York City, Holmes never seemed bothered by passing fans.
The anonymity of the big city has been the draw for many celebrities who have chosen to live in New York instead of smaller cities and even Los Angeles.
While she was still minding her own business without drawing any attention to herself, the next train was heard approaching, causing the waiting passengers to move closer to the train as soon as it stopped and opened its doors.
Holmes and the other passengers eventually boarded and she was on her way uptown for the next destination on her Sunday agenda.
