Katie recently enjoyed having Suri – who she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, 62 – home from university for autumn break.
Suri is a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and her father, whom she has not seen in more than a decade, pays the $65,000 per year tuition.
Earlier this year, Suri notably dropped Cruise from her last name and changed it to Noelle amid her estrangement from Tom.
While you’re talking to City & Country in August, Katie discussed her daughter moving away for college.
‘I am proud of my daughter. Of course I will miss the closeness, but I am really proud of her and I am happy,” the actress gushed to the outlet.
“I remember being at this age, this time of the beginning. It’s exciting to get to know yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it that way.”
Katie has also been busy with the current Broadway production, Our Town, which officially opened on October 10.
Written by Thornton Wilder, the play has returned to the Broadway stage for the first time in more than twenty years.

The revival features a total of 28 actors, including Holmes, Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Julie Halston and Michelle Wilson.
Katie plays Mrs. Webb in the film opposite Richard Thomas’ Mr. Webb.
The premise follows the “timeless story of a small town” in which “a director narrates the daily lives of locals, depicts a childhood friendship that turns into marriage, and sets the stage for beautiful truths about what it means to be alive,” according to the official Broadway website.
Previews began on Tuesday, September 17 at the Barrymore Theater, with dates through January 19, 2025.
