British tennis star Katie Boulter has revealed the moment she knew Alex De Minaur was the man of her dreams – and it took her a surprisingly short time.
The lovebirds, often dubbed the power couple of world tennis, recently celebrated their fourth anniversary – and Boulter couldn’t be happier.
And all it took was a cup of coffee for the world number 32 to realize that the hard-working Aussie was definitely a keeper.
“We met at six in the morning and ended up having coffee. From that moment on I knew I was in it for the long haul,” Boulter said The age.
‘Growing up, I was always very close to my grandfather: I always told myself that if I could find someone who has half his heart, I would be the luckiest woman in the world. I found that person in Alex.
“He always puts me before himself and takes care of the people around him: his family and his team. He is my best example of what I want to be.”
Both athletes will be hoping to make their mark at Wimbledon on July 1, with De Minaur set to be one of the top 10 seeds at the All England Club.
He was equally enthusiastic about Boulter, saying she is “just a joy to be around,” and greatly admires her cheerful nature.

De Minaur also raved about Boulter, saying it is ‘just a pleasure to be around her’ and that the world number nine greatly admires her cheerful character.
The world number nine was chosen on Wednesday from a nine-man Australian contingent that will compete at the Olympic Games in Paris from July 27.
De Minaur will play both singles and doubles on clay in what will be his Olympic debut three years in the making.
In 2021, ‘Demon’ was ruled out on the eve of the Tokyo Games when he contracted Covid-19.
“I always wanted to be an Olympian,” De Minaur said.
‘Last time I was a bit unlucky not to be able to play in Tokyo, but I have my eyes on Paris and I’m super excited to now be officially part of this team.
‘I’m really looking forward to delving into what it means to be an Olympian.
“I’m excited to see all the other sports, meet some of my fellow athletes and make some new friends.”
