Kathy divorced her first husband, computer technician Matt Moline, in 2006 after five years of marriage.

In September, Kathy revealed that she had been working on getting her voice back after her lung cancer treatment.

In his appearance in Jimmy Kimmel Live!the comedian said that the last time she was on the show she had lung cancer which required half of her left lung to be removed.

“My voice got a little damaged,” said the TV star. ‘But I’m fine, it doesn’t hurt… and the important thing is that my breasts are still fabulous,’ she said as she shook her chest, causing the audience to cheer.

Kimmel, 54, commented that her new higher-pitched voice makes the star “more fun” and asked: “Will your vocal cords eventually stretch and your voice get deeper?”

Kathy replied: ‘I think it will go back to normal, but I’m not sure. I’m still working on it. I’m more fun because I think I don’t sound threatening and demure. That’s my new angle.

This comes after a difficult year-long recovery after revealing last August that he was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer, despite never having smoked cigarettes.

He had half of his lung removed in August 2021 and revealed it three months later on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he was cancer free.

‘I am cancer free. I don’t know why, he had a tumor, right? And I have never smoked, and it was there for 10 years,” she said.

In a candid podcast interview in March, the star opened up about his past addiction to pills and other struggles he’s overcome in the wake of the backlash he received after posing with a bloody effigy of then-President Donald Trump in 2017.

“I tried to kill myself and ended up in the psych ward,” Kathy said during an appearance on The New York Times podcast Sway.

The My Life on the D-List star first revealed his addiction to pills and attempted suicide in an interview with ABC News, where he revealed that he was battling stage one lung cancer.

The Emmy Award winner shared her thoughts on the circumstances surrounding her addiction, saying, “I think, well, look, I think I’m probably an addictive person, you know,” Kathy said.

But you have to admit, it’s almost comical. I went to the hospital for pill addiction at 59 years old. Who the hell becomes a drug addict at 50? Me.’

She explained that she felt adrift after being ‘cancelled’ and losing all her concerts in the wake of the controversy.

Kathy went on to say, “I got to a point where I was convinced I had a good career on this planet and now it’s time to go.” She has been fine. I’ve done a lot of great stuff, and just so you know, he gets pretty crazy.

Kathy said her two suicide attempts convinced her to seek help and embrace sobriety.

“It was the fact that I overdosed and thought I was going to die,” he said. ‘I fell down the stairs and got hurt a lot instead.’

After telling the doctors that she had attempted suicide, Kathy was admitted to the psych ward with a 51/50 hold.

The artist explained that her suicidal thoughts disappeared after she went into recovery, saying: “So I’m there in the hospital psych ward for three days and boy, does that sober you up like nothing.” You don’t have drugs, you’re just shaking and I’m staring at the ceiling and reevaluating life choices and you have nothing but your own thoughts.

Kathy went on to say that the hospital put her in touch with sober doctors who helped her in her recovery.

“And that really saved my life,” he admitted. “Through that process, you are unpacking anything and everything. Everything is a bit surrounded by that. That comes first and then you know, you can, I don’t mean deal with the superficial stuff of the race, but we’ll see if maybe it’s not worth dying to get ‘canceled’.
