Kathy Griffin made her loyalty to Sophie Turner clear during the actress’ messy divorce from Joe Jonas.
The 62-year-old comedian shared a clip to her Instagram over the weekend of her performing a stand-up set mocking the Jonas Brothers in 2009.
In the video, Griffin called the brothers “embarrassing” and questioned their high status in pop culture.
Griffin destroyed the brothers’ “damn purity rings,” which the three siblings had once promised they would wear until they got married. Griffin called them “fake” and “complete nonsense.”
“I don’t buy these three children as sex symbols,” she said.
Griffin then specifically targeted Joe, now 34 and then 20, for breaking up with Taylor Swift.

She described Swift, then 19, as a “gorgeous ‘Seventeen’ cover model,” and asked, “Where the hell did he come from to dump the beautiful Taylor Swift?”
Swift and Jonas dated for just a few months in 2008 until he broke up with him during a 25-second phone call. She would write several hit songs on her second studio album about the brief romance.
In the caption for the video, Griffin wrote, “All I can say is this is from 2009, and I was right.”
In the caption she wrote: ‘Well, well, well… What else is there to say?’
“House Griffin has no queen except the Queen in the North, whose name is Stark,” she wrote, adding, “#TeamSophie.”

After filing for divorce, Joe posted a statement on Instagram, claiming to be from him and Sophie, asking the public for privacy during this difficult time.

However, it appears the couple’s divorce has not been amicable so far, as Sophie’s lawyers last week accused Joe of ‘wrongful retention’ regarding their children.
The couple share Willa, three, and a 14-month-old baby, whose name has not yet been publicly revealed.

In court documents, Sophie claimed that an argument that took place on August 15 may have ended their marriage, and Joe filed for divorce less than three weeks later.
Sophie also claimed that she was not told directly about the divorce, and it was also claimed that Joe would not return the children’s passports so that Sophie could return to England with the children.
In recent developments, Sophie’s legal petition stated that the couple’s ‘permanent home’ as of April this year was England.
It also stated that Joe claimed the children, who have dual citizenship, had lived in Florida for six months before the divorce papers were filed.
However, the court disputed Sophie’s claim that they had previously met and agreed that their two children would be ‘sent home to England’.

After news emerged that Sophie had sued her ex-husband Joe to try to move their two children back to England, a representative for Joe said in a statement to DailyMail.com that the singer was looking for “shared parenting” with the Game. Of Thrones star, adding: “The children were not kidnapped.”
‘This is an unfortunate legal disagreement over a marriage that is unfortunately on the rocks. When language like “kidnapping” is used, it is at best misleading and at worst a serious abuse of the justice system. The children were not kidnapped,” the representative said.
“Having been in Joe’s care for the past three months by mutual consent, the children are currently with their mother.
