Kathryn Newton looks stunning in a lavender cocktail dress while attending the 2023 SAG Awards in Los Angeles

Kathryn Newton looked chic as she walked the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Century City on Sunday.

The 26-year-old actress, whose film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania saw a sharp decline in box office dollars in its second weekend, wore a low-cut purple dress to the event.

Her dress was accented with black fabric that covered her chest and ran along the hem of her dress.

She was standing on a pair of matching pale high heels, and her blonde locks were pulled back into a tight ponytail.

Newton accessorized with a small diamond necklace, and her thin lips were painted a bright red.

Among the television nominees, Better Call Saul and Ozark earned multiple nominations.

The Banshees Of Inisherin, Martin McDonagh’s film about the broken friendship of two Irish men during the Irish civil war, earned a nomination for Best Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Colin Farrell earned a nomination in the Lead Male Actor category and Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan in the Supporting Male category. Kerry Condon was also nominated in the supporting actress category.

Michelle Yeoh, starring in Everything Everywhere All At Once, which has grossed over $100 million on a budget of just $14 million, was also a hit with SAG voters.

Yeoh, who made a career comeback with Everything Everywhere All At Once, was nominated for Best Lead Actress.

Ke Huy Quan, best known as a child actor in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Goonies, cemented his return to Hollywood with a supporting male actor nomination.

Stephanie Hsu, who plays the daughter of the actors in the film, was nominated in the supporting actress category, as was Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays a villainous IRS agent.

Another comeback film, the Darren Aronofsky-directed drama The Whale, earned a lead nomination for its star Brendan Fraser, while his co-star Hong Chau was nominated in the supporting actress category.

Ana de Armas, who was nominated at last night’s Golden Globes ceremony for her fictional Marilyn Monroe film Blonde, earned another nomination for the controversial drama.

Other feature film nominees included Angela Bassett for supporting actress for her Marvel superhero film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Eddie Redmayne was surprisingly nominated for supporting male actor for his creepy performance in The Good Nurse, and Adam Sandler earned a male lead nomination for Hustle, despite the film barely having an awards season profile.

There was more variety in the male and female lead actor categories, with several nominees being the sole representatives of their films.

Cate Blanchett’s acclaimed performance in Tár was recognized, as was Viola Davis for The Woman King and Danielle Deadwyler for the Civil Rights Movement drama Till.
