In the video, the officer pulls out the Fireball bottles one by one before encountering a single can of Coke. He eventually throws them all in the trash.
According to the incident report obtained by DailyMail.com, the first officer who spoke to Dennis noticed her “glossy eyes” and “the odor of alcohol coming from her mouth.” [her] person.’
The officer also noticed “an unopened bottle of Fireball on the driver’s side floorboard” and a “pink cup in the center console that was empty.”
The officer noted that Dennis refused a breathalyzer test but agreed to submit to a field sobriety test.
In the dashcam video from his patrol car, the extent to which Dennis failed the test is painfully clear.
According to his report, the first test the officer administered was the “Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test,” in which a person is asked to follow an officer’s finger while the officer looks for the telltale involuntary eye movements that occur when someone is under the influence. of drugs or alcohol looks aside.
In addition to smelling the alcohol on Dennis while she stood in front of him, while administering the test, the officer noted four of six clues indicating intoxication, including a “lack of smooth pursuit” on Dennis’ part.
The next test was walking and turning, where she chose to take off her sandals. In doing so, the officer noted that she could not even maintain her balance while standing in the starting position, used her arms and hands for balance while walking, and repeatedly missed the required heel-to-toe portion of the walk.
She too was unable to balance on one leg without swinging her arms in an attempt to keep her balance.
Later, oblivious to her actions, Dennis can be heard saying to himself, “I passed that damn sobriety test.” This is kinda damning. Like, I’m literally not drunk.β

Dennis was traveling with her golden doodle puppy ‘Lil Gucci’, which she placed in the back of the police patrol vehicle during these tests. When officers searched the pup’s pet carrier, they found “several mini bottles of Fireball, some of which were opened and empty.”
Footage of the search of that bag when she was admitted to the Berkley County Detention Center several hours later shows an officer removing at least ten miniature bottles from the bag β some are empty, some are open and appear half empty, others are full and still bound together by the plastic wrap from the multipack they were purchased in.
Patrol car footage of the drive from the crime scene to the detention center, reviewed by DailyMail.com, shows Dennis running the emotional spectrum in attempts to derail the due process of her arrest.
Sometimes she pleads, sometimes she whines angrily at being separated from her βchild,β by which she means her dog.
At times she threatens the officers with legal action and says she will ‘ruin’ them, at other times she tries to speak more calmly and gain sympathy.
When she sobs, her tears seem to come from frustration and anger because none of her tactics have any impact on the police.
She accuses the officer of touching her inappropriately as he reached over her to fasten her seat belt over her lap while her hands were cuffed behind her back.
She then accuses the officer of trying to “gaslight” her “like my ex.”
Dennis’ tumultuous relationship with disgraced former Congressman Thomas Ravenel, which resulted in two children and ended in 2018 when he was accused of sexual assault by three women, was the dominant storyline of her eight seasons with Bravo reality show, Southern Charm.

She now supervises their visits every other Saturday and Sunday.
At another point she says: ‘I’ll never get my children back. Thanks guys. There is literally no reason for me to be here. So congratulations, it’s f***ing b******t.’
Dennis hesitates wildly and appears lucid at times, before bursting into a rage and threatening the officers, “I will destroy you,” as they explain that her dog will be put in a shelter until someone can come and pick him up.
Later, in a moment of apparent resignation and exhaustion, she says, “There’s no way to go back, is there?”
