Australian actress Katherine Langford has landed a new role.
The 26-year-old actress has been cast in the lead role in a psychological thriller that has been ordered by Starz for eight episodes, according to Deadline.
The series follows Langford as Samantha Bird, a woman visiting her family in New England, who reconnects with her childhood sweetheart and develops a complicated relationship with him, the site said.

“The Venery of Samantha Bird is the perfect complement to our series of provocative, compelling stories that lean into the female gaze,” said Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at Starz.
Adding, “Katherine is an incredible talent who will bring this modern romance of addictive love to life.”
The young star recently attended the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris Show and revealed how the show made her stronger as a young woman.

Katherine is perhaps most famous for her portrayal of high school student Hannah Baker on 13 Reasons Why in 2017

The actress, who had no previous acting experience, received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress for her role in the controversial teen drama.
In the show, she portrays an American high school student who committed suicide after battling with a mental illness and struggling to fit in.
In addition to her role in 13 Reasons Why, Langford has also appeared in Netflix’s one-off Cursed and the recently premiered Aussie drama Savage River.
