Kate Winslet looks chic in a grey gown at Avatar: The Way Of Water world premiere

Kate Winslet upcycled a dress she first wore seven years ago when she stepped out for the world premiere of Avatar: The Way Of Water on Tuesday night in London.

The 47-year-old actress, who plays Ronal in the image, looked just as glamorous as she had when she first wore the dress when she arrived at the Odeon Luxe in London’s Leicester Square.

she dazed in the gray gown, with dazzling silver embellishments along the neckline, as she celebrated the return of the Avatar franchise and her dazzling costume piece.

Kate was first seen in the fitted Badgley Mischka model in 2015 at the premiere of her film The Dressmaker at the Toronto International Film Festival.

She has previously described spending money on new red carpet looks as a “waste” of money and vowed to go back to wearing her outfits sustainably.

In 2020, she shared her plans to upcycle her old outfits, saying she’d “drop” them to “squeeze my hot, annoying school mom body” into them.

“To make something that will only be worn once…I’ve already decided that I’ll do repeat dresses,” she told Vanity Fair in 2020.

We will have to let everything out, but whatever.

“I hate having to cram my random hot and annoying school mom body into a red carpet dress I’ll never wear again,” she added.

And Kate stayed true to her word at the Avatar premiere on Tuesday when she once again wowed viewers in her sparkling Badgley Mischka gown.

She accessorized with a pair of sparkling drop earrings and posed up a storm for photographers with her hands on her hips.

All the guests flocked to the venue to celebrate the highly anticipated sequel to Avatar, while the first film is reportedly the highest-grossing film of all time.

The second movie, titled Avatar 2: The Way of Water, has brought back much of the original cast, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney, and Stephen Lang, but also added Kate Winslet and Vin Diesel.

The trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water has been released just a month before the film opens on December 16.

The trailer opens with members of the Na’vi sitting on the backs of ikrans, flying pterodactyl-like beings that carry them over a beautiful waterfall.

Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully and Zoe Saldaña’s Neytiri take their children to another tribe in search of a safe haven as huge, human-operated mech suits trample through a forest.

“Treat them like our brothers and sisters,” insists a leader of this other tribe while some individuals swim in crystal clear waters.

‘Teach them our ways,’ the voice continues as a young voice calls one of Sully’s sons ‘boy of the woods’.

Then you learn how to ride a giant eel underwater. It emulates the scene from the first movie when Sam Worthington’s character is taught to ride an ikran.

Titles cut into picturesque landscape scenes refer to the film as “The Movie Event of a Generation”.

The Na’vi then find themselves in a dangerous situation with humans burning their lands with huge flamethrowers, destroying almost everything in their path.

Just a few weeks before the scheduled release of Avatar 2, Sam Worthington revealed that they have already started filming for Avatar 3 and some scenes for Avatar 4.

The 46-year-old Australian actor returns in the 2009 sequel to Avatar as Jake Sully, who has a new family of his own on Pandora.

Avatar: The Way of Water will lead up to Avatar 3, which is currently expected to hit theaters on December 20, 2024.

And Sam revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that 80 to 90 percent of Avatar 3 has already been filmed.

“We’ve shot about 80%, 90% of three. We still have a few scenes to go,” Sam said, drawing some gasps from the crowd.

He also added that there were already some scenes filmed for Avatar 4, simply because they involved children who would be too old to wait.

“And on Four we did some scenes because the kids were getting older, so we have to do it before they get a little older,” he explained.

He added that a fifth film is also in the works, “if we’re lucky enough to get it,” adding, “We’re not arrogant enough to assume it’s going to connect.”

It comes after James revealed that the long-awaited second Avatar movie was “very expensive” to film.

Last month, the esteemed director did not give an exact figure for how much it cost, but called it “the worst business case in movie history.”
