Kate Upton has clarified that an “emergency” she posted about on Instagram last month was not about her husband, Justin Verlander.
In the original post, Upton, 32, alarmed her fans when she ranted about a “drunk and high” father traveling alone with his 10-year-old daughter and carrying a gun.
Some fans wrongly assumed the Sports Illustrated model was referring to Verlander and their daughter Genevieve.
However, Upton finally clarified on Monday that this was not the case.
“I know many of you are concerned,” she wrote. “But a few people mistakenly thought the situation involved my husband.”
She continued, “To clarify, we don’t have a 10-year-old. Our daughter is six and Justin would never put her in such a frightening or life-threatening situation.
“He is an amazing father whose unwavering priority is ensuring our daughter is safe, loved and protected every day.”
Upton went on to say that she was talking about a family member and that she and her husband were doing everything they could to protect them.

The model alarmed her followers last month when she shared an anonymous story on Instagram about the worrying situation.
“Really asking…lawyers/judges/attorneys/law enforcement/parents:” she wrote.
‘A father, recently out of rehab, travels alone with his 10-year-old daughter. He gets drunk and high on pills, says he has a gun and threatens to shoot the cab driver if he DOESN’T drop him off on the highway at midnight to walk home,” Upton continued.
“Luckily the taxi driver refuses and would rather be shot than drop the little girl off on the highway.”
She then asked her followers: ‘Is this an emergency? A crime? Would you be afraid for your child?’
Upton, the host of Hulu’s Dress My Tour, has made a name for herself as one of the most in-demand models in the world.
She largely stayed away from controversy after the backlash she received over her signing with Canadian Goose in 2019.
The company was accused of animal cruelty for using real coyote fur and goose feathers for its products, and Upton was singled out by animal rights activists.

The glamorous Vogue cover model has been married to Justin Verlander since 2017.
The couple met in 2012 and got engaged four years later.
They married just a few days after the pitcher led the Astros to a World Series victory.
The couple are parents to six-year-old daughter Genevieve ‘Vivi’ Upton Verlander.
Upton recently guested on Dreamworks Gabby and Friends and got crafty with Laila Lockhart Kraner’s Gabby Girl.
She is also co-owner of Vosa Spirits, which makes canned vodka cocktails in a variety of flavors.
