Kate Ritchie wears flashy $2,300 Chanel sandals at Sydney Airport as it’s revealed ‘she is set to reveal details about her struggles’ on SAS Australia

Kate Ritchie made a flashy fashion statement as she left Sydney Airport this weekend.

The Nova radio star, 46, wore $2,300 Chanel lambskin sandals, a floral maxi dress and a black cardigan.

The actress wore stylish wide frame sunglasses and heart-shaped gold earrings.

Kate tied her brunette hair into a ponytail and highlighted her natural beauty with a light layer of nude makeup and lip gloss.

She seemed cheerful as she wheeled her luggage through the busy terminal.

Rumors are swirling that Kate may appear in the upcoming series of the reality TV show SAS Australia.

An industry insider told this week’s Woman’s Day magazine that Channel Seven producers were considering Kate for the grueling Ant Middleton-hosted show.

‘Kate is ideal for SAS because she has the backstory they are going for. She has been through a divorce, an arrest and many difficult times,” they told the publication.

‘Plus, she’s a favorite of Seven’s during her Home and Away days. The only thing holding Kate back is if she really wants to do reality TV. She’s only done it once, during It Takes Two in 2007.’

Ritchie is trying to get her life back on track after her arrest and DUI charge in August 2022.

Last year she announced her decision to seek professional help after crossing the line when she was stopped by police for a random breath test.

The ex-soap star said that after struggling with several personal challenges in 2022, she decided it was time to seek help.

‘It took a long time. I sought professional help, the help I needed. Sometimes enough is enough,” she said at the time.

‘Life has presented me with challenges in recent years, but I am not alone. I was lucky that I could take the time.’

Ritchie returned a reading of 0.06 – just above the legal limit – when she was stopped by police for a random breath test in her station wagon in Pagewood at 2.45pm on August 22, 2022.

She was fined $600, banned from driving for three months and apologized on Instagram.

“I recently took a random breath test,” she wrote. ‘Although it was low level, the test was positive.

“I made a bad decision and there is no doubt that I understand the gravity of my actions. I’m really sorry.’

In October 2022, Ritchie announced she was taking a break from her radio show, before revealing she was seeking treatment at an exclusive drug rehab facility in Sydney.

In December that year, Daily Mail Australia broke the news that Ritchie had entered an exclusive private mental health facility in Sydney to help treat her alcohol addiction.

She said in a statement at the time that the past year had been challenging and stressful, leading to an “unhealthy dependence on alcohol.”

The former Home and Away star married husband Stuart Webb in 2010, but the couple split nine years later in 2020.

Kate appeared in good spirits as she wheeled her luggage through the busy airport
