Kate Ritchie Reveals What It Would Take To Return To Home And Away As Fans Say Fitzy And Wippa Aren’t The Same After She Kicked Out Sarah McGilvray
Kate Ritchie revealed Tuesday morning that she’s set to return to Home and Away for one final reunion.
The 44-year-old actor-turned-radio star just landed a new on-air job with Fitzy and Wippa after ousting his beloved co-host Sarah McGilvray.
Now she has confessed to co-stars Ryan Fitzgerald and Michael Wipfli that she would be willing to go straight back into the soap opera that launched her career.
‘Definitely. I think right now, right now, if Home and Away were to end and you were asked to do one final show, you would certainly do it,” said Fitzy, 46.
“Absolutely,” Ritchie replied immediately.

‘But you will see that Home and Away is going to continue for a long time. How old do you get before you say, “No, I’m not going to do this. I’m not going back to 80 like Sally Fletcher, to do this one last time,” Fitzy prompted.
“I think it would always come down to the fact, regardless of how old I was, if Ray Meagher asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the trailer park, I would be there without a doubt,” Ritchie confessed.
It comes after Nova’s loyal listeners of Fitzy and Wippa tuned out after the Sydney Breakfast Show toppled co-host McGilvray to make way for Ritchie.

The sudden departure of McGilvray and the introduction of Ritchie, formerly of Nova’s national driving show, has led fans to complain about the move on social media.
After the show posted a photo on Facebook of Ritchie with co-hosts Fitzy and Wippa, listeners took to the comments section to express their dissatisfaction with the new lineup.
One fan said the trio sounded “awkward” and described the former Home and Away star as “no match for Sarah”.
One listener said he just wouldn’t be “bothered” with the new team listening to Ritchie’s work on the Nova driving show.
