Kate Moss is ‘throwing herself a wild birthday party’ and is ready to ‘let her hair down’ following split from boyfriend of nine years

Newly single Kate Moss is planning a huge boozy birthday party to celebrate her 51st birthday later this month.

The supermodel reportedly finally parted ways with long-term boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck, 37, last month after nine years together.

Now Kate, who lived in the Cotswolds with teetotaler Nikolai, has decided she wants to ‘let her hair down’ to celebrate her birthday with her famous friends.

A source said The sun: ‘Last year she celebrated her fiftieth birthday at an intimate soiree in Paris, which was quite sober.

‘But a lot has changed since then and Kate has said she wants this party to be a new era.

‘Now that her daughter Lila is grown and single again, Kate feels like she wants to let her hair down and be carefree – something she hasn’t been able to do for a long time.

‘She looks at life on the positive side. Although it is a shame that her relationship is over, she is throwing herself back into her social life and embracing the new year.’

MailOnline has contacted Kate’s representatives for comment.

It comes after insiders claimed Kate and her ex-boyfriend split due to friction arising from their different approaches to life.

A source said The sun the exes remain on good terms but have “been on and off for months,” and eventually Kate felt the time was right to move on and cut ties.

“She felt like they were on different life journeys. And at age 50, Kate feels fantastic and like she wants to get back out there and have some fun in time for Christmas.

‘Although Nikolai is thirteen years younger than her, he wants to enjoy a quieter life. He stays on his down-to-earth path and they just always have different hobbies and wishes.

Kate started dating Nikolai, who was rumored to have dated Princess Beatrice in the early 2000s, in 2015 after splitting from her musician ex-husband Jamie Hince.

After knowing each other for several years and the supermodel being friends with his mother, Countess Debonnaire von Bismarck, they began a romance.

Kate was pictured holding hands with reggae legend Bob Marley’s 27-year-old grandson Skip in May.

After the photo emerged, Kate and Nikolai shared a very icy reunion a few days later at the Gucci Cruise 2025 Fashion Show.

Nikolai stared straight ahead as Kate repeatedly turned her back from him and talked to model daughter Lila.

Kate gave up alcohol in 2017 in favor of juice fasting and reformed Pilates, even selling her own range of teas and skincare products through her beauty and wellness brand Cosmoss.

But after celebrating her 50th birthday this year, she’s made girls’ nights part of her wellness routine.

For this milestone, she threw a raucous party in classic Kate style, with dancing until 2 a.m., an improvised catwalk and a 30-person group of her best A-friends and the best names in fashion.

Since then, she has danced wildly at a Stevie Nicks concert and celebrated her renewed relationship with 26-year-old sister Lottie by going out on the town together.

Notably absent, however, was Nicolai, who has been sober since 2017 and said he “doesn’t like being in the spotlight.”

The couple was last seen together in public in June this year at the Dior show during Paris Fashion Week.
