Kate Middleton's brother James has teased a book release this year as he shares photos of his family to celebrate the new year.
The Princess of Wales' brother posted a photo of his wife and dogs and wrote on Instagram that he had “put pen to paper.”
'Because it's been such a reflective year, I put pen to paper, which has been the most amazing experience…so maybe a [book emoji] next year???' He wrote.
James also spoke about the birth of Inigo, a son he shares with Alisee Thevenet, in October, sharing a photo of him with two of the couple's dogs.
But there was also an air of sadness surrounding the festive season following the death of James' beloved spaniel, Ella, in January this year.

James also opened up about the birth of his and wife Alizee's first child, named Inigo, in October, sharing a photo of him with two of the couple's dogs.
“The year began with the unbearable sadness of losing Ella,” James wrote. 'Despite knowing her time would come, it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that she was no longer by my side.
“I know many of you who have also lost a dog will understand the grief that follows you.”
He went on to say that he and Alizee will have the “absolute pleasure” of welcoming Inigo later in 2023.
He added: 'Inigo has already found his place among the pack and giggles every time one of the dogs comes over to nest next to us.'
As well as sharing his family news, James also discussed his new Waitrose dog food business, in memory of the late Ella.
He wrote: 'A month later I launched a new James & Ella range in Waitrose – and one of the last photos taken of me and Ella is now appearing on shelves in stores across the country.
“It was a very proud moment to take Inigo to our local store to see the product on the shelves for the first time.”
Concluding his New Year's post, James added, “I enter 2024 vowing to remain focused on my mission… To make all dogs' lives as happy and healthy as they have made mine.
'Happy New Year to you all. With love, James, Alizee, Inigo, Zulu, Mabel, Inka, Luna, Nala & Isla.'
James Middleton is celebrating his first Christmas as a father after welcoming a son, Inigo, in October this year
The entrepreneur revealed that there is an air of sadness about the festivities following the death of his beloved dog Ella, who has taken a place of honor atop the Christmas tree
It comes after James shared a celebratory post about how his celebrations this year were bittersweet following Ella's death.
He shared a photo of his Christmas tree with a photo of Ella at the top, proud of his place, and wrote: 'The angel in our tree watches over us.
'My first Christmas in 16 years without Ella, but our first with Inigo. Merry Christmas from my family to yours.”
He has previously revealed how Ella stopped him from 'considering suicide' during his battle with depression, saying that 'during tough times' he would spend an entire day without speaking to anyone other than her.
However, the brother of the Princess of Wales experienced joy towards the end of 2023 with the birth of his son Inigo.
Announcing the birth of his son on Instagram in late October, James shared a photo of Inigo's tiny hand “holding” a badge featuring the emblem of his late beloved dog Ella, and another photo of the tiny baby in his crib while James' other dogs were watching. Speaking over him, the new father praised the NHS for the care of both Alizee and the newborn at Basingstoke Hospital, where he was born.
He also revealed that he has already taught little Inigo about Ella.
While he didn't reveal Inigo's exact birthday, he said the little one has been in his life for “just a few weeks.”
In a heartfelt announcement on Instagram, James wrote: He's only been in our lives for a few weeks, but getting to know our beautiful baby boy has been the most special of my life.
'No matter how good I thought I was… I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of first meeting Inigo and loving my sweet Alizée when we turned three.
'We have settled into our new life as parents and I told him all about Ella and that if it wasn't for her he wouldn't be here today and that we miss her so much.
'The dogs have done a fantastic job of welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka should know the teddy bears aren't just for her…)
'We would like to thank the amazing team at Basingstoke Hospital, from the very first scan to walking out the front door for the first time when we were three. We couldn't have felt more supported and cared for, so thank you NHS.”
