Kate Middleton’s brother James shares a glimpse of his ‘first adventure’ with his son Inigo, wife Alizee Thevenet and their dogs – but doesn’t mention his sister’s abdominal surgery
The Princess of Wales’ brother James Middleton has shared a glimpse of his ‘first adventure’ with his wife Alizee Thevenet, their son Inigo and two of their dogs.
Take to Instagramthe father-of-one, 36, who announced the birth of his firstborn in October 2023, posted a clip from his recent ski holiday.
In the video, the Ella & Co founder was seen making his way through the snow while baby Inigo was pulled along in a specially equipped stroller.
Their dogs Mabel and Isla were captured jumping around with their owners, while Alizee expertly traveled on her skis as the family took in the breathtaking mountain views.
In his post, James made no mention of his sister, Kate, 42, who underwent “successful” planned abdominal surgery more than three weeks ago. The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported last week that the mother of three is “on the mend.”

“Our first adventure with Inigo and the dogs,” James wrote in his caption. ‘Ever since Alizee was pregnant, I’ve been waiting for the day we could go on our first adventure with the dogs together.
‘Safely strapped into his Silver Cross stroller with a specially adapted frame for an expedition sled, we went on an adventure in the Alps with Mabel and Isla.
‘Many of you have asked about taking your dogs on holiday and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
‘But it does take careful planning, so I’ve written a blog about traveling to Europe with dogs if you’re interested. The link is in my bio and please share your adventures with me,” he concluded.
Late last year, James teased a 2024 book release as he shared photos of his family to celebrate the new year.
The Princess of Wales’ brother posted a photo of his wife and dogs and captioned the Instagram post that he had “put pen to paper.”
“Because it’s been such a reflective year, I put pen to paper which has been the most amazing experience…so maybe a (book emoji) next year???” He wrote.
James also opened up about Inigo’s birth and shared a photo of him with two of the couple’s dogs.
But there was also an air of sadness surrounding the holidays following the death of James’ beloved spaniel, Ella, in January 2023.

“The year began with the unbearable sadness of losing Ella,” James wrote. ‘Despite knowing her time would come, it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that she was no longer by my side.
“I know many of you who have also lost a dog will understand the grief that follows you.”
He went on to say that he and Alizee had the “absolute pleasure” of welcoming Inigo later in 2023.
He added: ‘Inigo has already found his place among the pack and giggles every time one of the dogs comes over to nest next to us.’
Concluding his New Year’s post, James added, “I enter 2024 vowing to remain focused on my mission… To make all dogs’ lives as happy and healthy as they have made mine.
‘Happy New Year to you all. With love, James, Alizee, Inigo, Zulu, Mabel, Inka, Luna, Nala & Isla.’
It comes after the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed that the Princess of Wales, who underwent a ‘successful’ planned abdominal operation more than three weeks ago, is on the mend.
In a clear sign of her improvement, she was able to join her husband, Prince William, and their three children on a six-month holiday at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where the king is also recovering.
“Catherine is recovering well,” said a friend. ‘She was looking forward to a change of scenery and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the kids let off some steam with William.’
The Princess of Wales and Prince William attend the Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church with Prince Louis, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The 42-year-old princess was discharged twelve days ago from the London Clinic, where she had spent almost two weeks.
In Kensington Palace’s only statement on her health, a spokesperson said on January 17 that “based on current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
The spokesperson did not provide details about the nature of her surgery, but sources said it was not for cancer.
Since leaving hospital, without being photographed, Catherine has been staying at Adelaide Cottage, the family’s four-bedroom home in Windsor Home Park.
Her children, Prince George, ten, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, all attend Lambrook school 15 minutes’ drive away in Berkshire. They broke up on Friday for a week’s holiday.
