Kate Middleton’s ‘bittersweet’ feelings about motherhood revealed in new family photos, expert says
The Princess of Wales’s ‘bittersweet’ feelings about motherhood are revealed in a new Mother’s Day photo, body language has claimed.
Earlier today, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted two new photos of Kate spending quality time with her children at the Sandringham estate to mark Mothering Sunday.
The first image shows the mother of three posing in a tree in Norfolk, surrounded by her three children.
Speaking to FEMAIL, body language expert Judi James said the princess’s children made it clear through their poses that they feel “protective” of their mother.
Analyzing the heartwarming photo, the expert explained: “It’s the kids who have taken on the more protective poses [Kate].
The Prince and Princess of Wales released two new family photos today to mark Mother’s Day, including this shot of Kate and the children posing in a tree at the Sandringham estate
Charlotte’s mimicking of her mother’s pose suggests that she very much sees Kate as her role model.
George leans in with his torso slightly in front of Kate’s, and the way he extends his leg in front of her indicates a desire to protect.
“Even little Louis seems to want to show how much he cherishes and protects his mother.
“Sitting with a proud smile, he has one arm stretched across Kate’s torso, his hand on her knee.”
Additionally, Judi noted that the tree the family sits in symbolizes “strength and continuity” – while Kate appears to be “one of the team.”
She added: ‘[Kate’s] Body language is all about integration and joining the play as one of them, rather than a parent invading their private space.
In addition, the setting also shows how Kate and William’s small family “branches out” as their children grow older.
The expert said Kate’s true feelings about motherhood are even more apparent in the second photo – showing her youngest son in her crib.
Body language expert Judi James says Kate cradling Prince Louis in this image shows she has ‘bittersweet’ feelings about him when he was growing up
As she beams down at him, Louis can be seen clinging to his mother’s hand in a cute way.
Judi explained: “This pose shows Kate fully back in the role of ‘mother’ as she cradles Louis in her arms and looks down with a warm, loving and caring smile that seems to recapture the emotional side of being a mother.” to give.’
However, the expert says Kate’s body language hints at her grief over her youngest son’s aging.
Judi continued, “Louis was always the child she carried most with her as a baby.
While she clearly cherishes the way he grows up to be confident, spontaneous, and playful, this pose suggests there are also some bittersweet emotions in losing that constant mother-baby touch.

“If he becomes her last child, these feelings of sadness mixed with love can be magnified for her as well.”
The couple captioned the post: “Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours.”
The newly released photos were taken on the same day as their Christmas card from last year.
For this family shoot, Kate and William turned to their favorite – and most trusted – photographer Matt Porteous.
The environmental photographer previously captured the photo they used for their 2021 Christmas card, as well as Prince George’s third birthday portraits.
The post from the Prince and Princess of Wales has already garnered 90,000 likes and fans rushed to gush over the sweet images.
One replied, “Happy Mother’s Day Princess of Wales and to all the mothers celebrating today.” Beautiful pictures!’
Another gushed, “Happy Mother’s Day to the biggest inspo when it comes to motherhood.”
“What beautiful pictures,” said a third. “I wish the Princess of Wales a very happy Mother’s Day.”
