Kate Middleton will attend Wimbledon men’s final tomorrow and present the winner’s trophy
Princess Kate will attend tomorrow’s Wimbledon men’s final to present the winner’s trophy, it has been announced.
The Princess of Wales will present the award to either Novak Djokovic or Carlos Alcaraz, Kensington Palace said.
However, she will not be there today and Wimbledon president Debbie Jevans will instead present the women’s singles trophy on Kate’s behalf to either Jasmine Paolini or Barbora Krejcikova after the women’s singles final.
Contingency plans had been made so that the Duchess of Gloucester, honorary president of the Lawn Tennis Association for 25 years, could step in if the Princess of Wales was unavailable due to her ongoing preventive cancer treatment.
Kate was last seen in public last month when she watched Trooping The Colour.

Catherine’s only public appearance since her cancer diagnosis was with her family at Trooping the Colour last month, her attendance having only been confirmed a day earlier
The Princess of Wales has been patron of the All England Club for eight years, succeeding Queen Elizabeth, who had held the role since 1952. She has presented the trophies annually since 2016.
Ms Jevans previously told how the club gave Kate ‘as much flexibility as possible’: ‘We hope that The Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as patron of the club, but her health and recovery are the priority.’
“We don’t know what we don’t know. We just said we’re going to work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible.”
The princess said last month that she hoped to attend the occasional engagement over the summer, but urged the public to be patient with her because, like many cancer patients, she has “good days and bad days”.
Her husband Prince William, president of the Football Association, is travelling to Germany to attend the 2024 European Championship final between England and Spain at the Olympiastadion in Berlin tomorrow evening.
He was in the crowd in Dusseldorf last Saturday to watch Gareth Southgate’s team beat Switzerland on penalties in their quarter-final, before captain Harry Kane and substitute Ollie Watkins scored on Wednesday to beat the Netherlands 2-1.
Meanwhile, William and Kate’s official @KensingtonRoyal account on X, formerly Twitter, posted a message today welcoming Princess Anne as she returns to royal duties, calling her a “Super Trooper.”
They shared photos of the Princess Royal attending a Riding for the Disabled Association event, adding: ‘Super trooper! So good to see you back so soon! W & C x’

Anne is said to be gradually returning to her royal duties. On June 23, she was taken to hospital with minor head injuries and concussion after taking a walk on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire.
Her doctors believe her injuries were caused by being hit by a horse.
Kate’s appearance at Trooping The Colour saw her watch the spectacle with her three children from the former office of the Duke of Wellington for a reunion with her father-in-law King Charles on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
She said in a statement the day before that she was making “good progress” with her treatment, but added candidly that she has “good days and bad days.”
She works from home, but adds: “I’m not there yet.”
Kate first revealed in a video posted on March 22 that she had been diagnosed with cancer the previous month. In January, she had spent two weeks in a private London clinic undergoing abdominal surgery.
She and her husband Prince William later said they had been “very touched” by the positive response from around the world since her shock announcement.
Kate was put on a so-called ‘recovery path’ after starting chemotherapy in late February.

She spent two weeks at the London Clinic after being admitted for abdominal surgery on January 16.
King Charles and Queen Camilla visited her charge on January 26, before Charles, 75, underwent surgery himself for a benign prostate cancer condition. He was later diagnosed with cancer, for which he has been receiving treatment ever since.
Kate has rarely been seen in public since visiting the church in Sandringham, Norfolk, on Christmas Day last year, although someone filmed her and William after they visited a farm shop in March.
The couple were also photographed being driven out of Windsor on March 11, after which the prince attended a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in central London and Kate continued on to a private engagement.
