Kate Middleton tenderly cradles two-month-old baby as fans praise her ‘natural way’ with children

The Princess of Wales tenderly cradled a two-month-old baby this afternoon during a visit to a youth charity in Northern Ireland, a day after hugging a baby in Surrey.

Kate, 40, was taken on a tour around Carrick Connect just outside Belfast with Prince William when she met two-month-old baby Isaac.

Kate cradled him gently in her arms, but asked his mother – standing to the side – how old Isaac was and beamed down on him lovingly.

Today’s heartwarming images delighted royal fans, who were quick to praise the princess’ “natural way” with children.

Yesterday, the princess paid a surprise visit to the maternity ward at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, where she met new mother Szilvia Novak and her daughter Bianca.

While the couple spoke in the hospital’s Special Care Unit, Szilvia asked the princess to hold her premature daughter – to which Kate replied, “Can I have that?”

The princess cradled the girl in her arms and said, “She is very sweet.”

Szilvia said afterwards: “[Kate] was lovely to talk to. I was really impressed. You don’t feel like you have lessons between you. It’s really fun.’

During the royal engagement, Kate met the department’s deputy director of obstetrics, Amy Stubbs, and shared how she and Prince William had chosen names for their children.
