Kate Middleton swaps out of wedding band for new ‘eternity ring’ and rewears old Ralph Lauren t-shirt as she sends congratulatory message to Team GB
The Princess of Wales introduced a new ‘eternity band’ last night and wore an old Ralph Lauren T-shirt as she sent Team GB a congratulatory message.
The 42-year-old royal appeared alongside the 42-year-old Prince of Wales in a star-studded video shared to the couple’s Instagram yesterday.
For the cheerful video, the mother of three wore a black-and-white striped top by Ralph Lauren.
The designer top, which originally cost £85, has been a mainstay of Kate’s wardrobe since 2013.
The royal was first spotted in the long-sleeved T-shirt while shopping in Anglesey in August 2013. Two months later, he also wore the shirt at an official SportAid charity event at London’s Olympic Park.

In the congratulatory video, Kate wore minimal jewelry, opting for a thin silver choker necklace and no earrings.
The princess was also seen wearing a new ring on her wedding ring finger, leading royal fans to suspect it is an eternity ring.
The chunky gold ring turned out to be set with diamonds and sapphires, matching the royal’s engagement ring that had once belonged to Princess Diana.
One of them commented on the Royal Fashion Police’s Instagram post: ‘The sapphire anniversary/eternity ring is a beautiful alternative to her engagement ring.
“It’s nice to have a ring with a lower profile so you can wear it every day.”
Another replied: ‘I think it’s a beautiful ring and it’s probably a more reasonable ring for everyday wear.’
Another added: ‘That sapphire band looks much more practical for everyday wear and it’s beautiful too.’
The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this year and marked the occasion by sharing a new black-and-white portrait from their wedding.
