Streets of Growth builds on a Roca-style model, using neuroscience and cognitive skills to train its own practitioners and help the young people who use its services break negative behavioral patterns. The aim of this is to ultimately encourage them to play a central role in building thriving communities.
The charity involves police and youth crime teams within the community, as well as social services, schools and colleges, plus housing associations who can operate the properties where young people using the charity can live.
Streets of Growth uses an Appropriate Intervention Bridging Model, which takes into account the lifestyle, environment, education and careers of children.
