Let’s go spare! The Prince and Princess of Wales are pictured snuggled up in bed with Prince Harry’s explosive memories (but not all is as it seems)

A pair of doppelgangers pretending to look like the Prince and Princess of Wales have posed with Prince Harry’s memoir Spare in a campaign to promote Birds Eye Green Cuisine.

The images were taken by award-winning photographer Alison Jackson as part of the brand’s ‘Veganuary Reimagined’ promotion to persuade consumers to switch from meat to a plant-based diet this month.

Titled ‘The Green Kitchen Serves Up a Unique Portrait of The Windsors’, the photographs show the couple looking thoughtful as they appear to pore over the pages of the book, which hit shelves earlier this month.

Sitting on the bed, the resemblances are seen eating a fishless sandwich for brunch, while digesting the explosive revelations of Harry’s memories.

Jackson also took more images of the lookalikes of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his family.

Rishi’s photograph, titled Number Hen: A Green Cuisine Chicken-Less Dippers Su-snack, shows the stunt double enjoying a meatless dinner with his ‘family’ to embrace Veganuary, with a copy of Maths for Dummies on the table.

The subtly placed accessory is a cheeky reminder of the controversy the prime minister sparked earlier this month when he suggested that children should be taught mathematics up to the age of 18.

She added: ‘Plant-based options have always been a big part of my diet. My photo shoots are always large-scale, costume dramas and they keep me busy 24/7, so in between I often look for something easy yet delicious.

“I know I can rely on plant-based options for a more varied dietary lifestyle,” she explained.
