Kate Lawler threw down a £400 shot and joked that ‘ITV will pay for it’ after being tempted by Alison Hammond as This Morning descended into chaos on Thursday.
The presenter, 43, joined presenters Holly Willoughby and Alison via live video link from a pub in Scotland as she explained how viewers could spend the £1million cash prize up for grabs in their new competition.
During the segment, Kate explained how Leonardo DiCaprio once spent £1,600 at the Loch Lomond location as she snagged an expensive shot.
“I can smell it, but I can’t drink it,” she told Alison and Holly.
‘Just do it!’ Alison shouted boldly as she urged Kate to down the shot.

“Should I just…” Kate hesitated before throwing her head back and letting the drink sink.
“They’ll pay for it. ITV can afford that!’ she laughed as she told the bar staff.
Holly and Alison were seen giggling and covering their faces in the studio, with Holly joking that she would foot the bill herself if she still had one.
It comes after Kate hit back at body shamers after the star was viciously attacked online in light of a series of Instagram snaps.
The TV personality was accused on the social media platform of ‘inciting anorexia’ and being in a ‘severe calorie deficit’ after posting a holiday selfie.
She snapped back at these comments while discussing how she believes there is a “double standard” on social media, where plus-size women are praised for showing off their curves, but slim women are trolled.
She said The sun: ‘When someone on Instagram shows off their curves and grabs their rolls, it’s all, “You girl, well done!”
‘They are celebrated, called real women. Why can’t a real woman be a healthy size eight? It’s crazy.’

To Kate’s horror, some followers even compared her physique to that of fellow Big Brother contestant Nikki Grahame, who died in 2021 at the age of 38 after a lifelong battle with anorexia.
‘I honestly couldn’t believe it. To compare me to her is outrageous and so insensitive to Nikki’s family.”
Kate stated that she is currently a size eight and at 6ft tall, weighs 8st 4lb and has a BMI of 19.2.
Her BMI is therefore in the ideal range, as the NHS explains that a healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9.
Although the star looks slim, she assured that this is due to a fast metabolism and that she does not exercise besides walking her dogs.
