Kate Hudson wants to marry her fiancé Danny Fujikawa in a destination wedding: ‘It will be an adventure’

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa have been engaged for over a year, dating for six years, and the wedding is still in the planning stages.

The How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days star, who recently celebrated that film’s 20th anniversary, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the Table for Two podcast and opened up about his wedding plans — or current lack thereof.

“Right now, planning a wedding seems crazy, but I’m excited to plan a wedding, and I go back and forth between a small wedding and a big wedding,” said the 43-year-old Glass Onion star.

After all, what’s the rush? The couple have been together for years and share four-year-old daughter Rani Rose.

The Fabletics spokesman was previously married to Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, 56, from 2000 to 2007.

Pack your bags: Kate Hudson, 43, and Danny Fujikawa, 36, have been engaged for over a year and the Almost Famous star has her sights set on a destination wedding.

‘So there’s a part of me that wants the big party, you know?’ she said. There are, like, two sides to me: the big party or the small, intimate wedding. I think somewhere I will find both.

“It will totally be a destination wedding,” said the mother of three. ‘It will be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come and perform. For me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you’ll be there.

If someone says, “I really can’t be there,” then I don’t want you there. That’s all I have now. That’s all I have for the wedding,’ she joked.

And then sometimes you think a traditional Japanese ceremony is the way to go. That wedding would honor the estate of Danny, 36, and his daughter.

“Sometimes we go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and very emotional for Danny, since his father is gone,” he said.

But the Bride Wars star is certain that if her friends and family want to see her get married, they will have to travel, whether the wedding is big or small, Japanese or traditional.

And she has nothing but high praise for her fiancé.

she called him “handsome” and “the best” and gushed about how happy he was with the ring he proposed to her with.

‘I love my ring. I really wanted a flat stone, and he really delivered,” she said.

And Kate understands that her life, and her family, is a bit unconventional and she accepts it.

She has three children from three different fathers and says co-parenting works because she practices what she calls compassionate detachment.

She shares her 19-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Robinson and her 11-year-old son Bingham with singer Matt Bellamy, whom she dated from 2011 to 2014.

It does not make any sense. It goes against every religious grain in the book. And yet I’m happy and my kids are happy,” he said, adding, “It feels liberating. I don’t feel failure.

“Whatever is causing the head banging and this inability to move on, I’m going to be compassionate with my partner,” she said of her exes.

Hudson added that her children are her priority as she juggles her multiple parents.

“For me, it’s about my unit, and those are my babies, and I’m the center,” the Almost Famous star said.

Blended family: Kate is the mother of three with three men, Ryder, 19, and Bingham, 11, and daughter Rani Rose.
