Kate, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance as a rock group in 2000’s Almost Famous, revealed that music has always been her first love.
In an interview with PeopleAhead of the release of her debut album Glorious in May, the singer said she knew, “If I don’t do this, it will be a big regret.”
A few months ago she sang the performed songs from her new album for the first time.
It was the Covid-19 lockdown that gave the Glass Onion actress the chance to really seriously consider trying her hand at music.
“I’ve always been fearless in the decisions I’ve made, whether it’s relationships or career, but this was the one thing I was so afraid of. It was like something changed in my mind, and I was like, “I’m just going to do it. F*** it.”
In another interview conducted by her fiancé and co-writer Danny Fujikawa, 37, for Talk Shop Live x Rolling Stone, posted on Instagram and Facebook, the artist answered questions from her fans.
“One of our favorite songs on the album is a song we wrote together called Love Aint Easy,” Hudson said before the question-and-answer session began.

“It was a very challenging song for us to tackle, which is why the phrase ‘love aint easy’ came to mind,” she laughed nervously, looking at her fiancé.
“But we had a great experience writing that song, and then it just turned out to be one of my favorites on the album.”
When asked about which song made her feel the most emotional, the star said: “We’ll Live Forever is a very emotional song and when I was writing that song it was about my son.
“It’s about being a mother, it’s about being a young mother and growing up with your child and watching them go, and that was very emotional for me when I was writing it and very difficult for me to sing at first.
