“Nobody would be surprised if she started begging for alms.”

The insider added, “The feeling is that if she was a nicer person, nice things would come her way, but that’s not the case and karma is kicking her in the ass.”

In November 2023, an insider told The Sun that Kate ‘hasn’t had a job other than reality TV for 17 years’ and that she is ‘doing what she can to make money’.

Last month, her son Collin filed shock abuse claims against his estranged mother.

Collin, who previously claimed his estranged mother sent him away at the age of 12 to prevent him from revealing her ‘abuse’, says his mother ‘zippered his arms and legs’ and ‘locked him in a basement’ when he was still a child during a campaign of alleged physical and emotional abuse.

He said that from the age of ‘eight or nine’ he was treated differently by Kate to his seven other siblings and added that he ‘never had a childhood’ in an interview with The sun.

Collin claims he was locked in a ‘purpose-built basement room’ with a bed and cameras ‘on several occasions’ – which monitored him for all or part of a day.

He said: ‘She had a room set up with cameras in it, a little window in the corner and it was locked from the outside.’

“My mother put me in that room several times, she had tied my hands and feet together and locked the door, turned off the lights and there were cameras watching me.”

“So most of the day I was in that room and away from my siblings and never really went outside. I never played with them. I was held there. It was literally containment.”

He claimed that Kate was “physically aggressive, verbal, very abusive with the things she said” and that he “had to constantly take the blame for her emotions.”

Medical records filed during Jon and Kate’s custody battle revealed that Collin reported his mother’s alleged abuse to his legal counsel at the time.

He revealed a letter written in chalk to father Jon, in which he begged his father to ‘save him’ and let him live with him.

Collin also shared his personal medical records with the publication to prove that he has no mental illness or behavioral disorders

Jon – who later won custody of daughter Hannah and Collin – said he “never found out about Kate’s alleged abuse until long afterwards – saying: ‘Things like that didn’t happen until after I left.”

He said Hannah told him about the alleged abuse when he gained custody of her.

One sibling has supported Collin’s claims.

Collin claims that when he started telling teachers about the alleged abuse – after showing up to class with a bruised and swollen ear – he was expelled from school in fourth grade.

He also claimed that he told the camera crew filming their show, but that Kate “hid those things well.”

Jon shared letters he received from the Department of Human Services’ Office of Children, Youth, and Families in Pennsylvania, informing him of abuse reports against Collin, but stating they were “unfounded.”

Jon claims there were ‘nine separate instances’ where abuse was reported against Collin.

Kate’s attorney Richard Puleo said, “If Kate had done the things Collin is accusing Kate of, she would have been investigated by authorities and prosecuted.”

Collin was homeschooled from fourth grade and was diagnosed with mental health issues – medical records show the release showed he had unspecified bipolar disorder and related disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, an oppositional defiant disorder, was diagnosed. and PTSD before being taken to a mental health facility in 2016.

Collin claims he was wrongly diagnosed and cites his medical records from a mental health evaluation last year, which show he has none of the conditions and has no problems as an adult.

Kate and Jon had an acrimonious split in 2009; they are seen in April 2009 in New York City

Collins claims that multiple medications made him ‘feel like a zombie’ and that Kate admitted him to the facility for 22 months ‘in a desperate attempt to protect herself’, adding: ‘My mother always told me no one could tell me would believe.’

He eventually came into Jon’s custody in January 2018 – and said he was struggling to ‘re-integrate’ into society with children his own age.

He graduated high school and planned to join the Marines – but was “discharged” last August – reportedly because Kate sent him to the behavioral health facility.

He now plans to attend college at Penn State.

Puleo said he did not believe Kate had done anything to “intentionally harm Collin,” adding “she did what she did to protect herself and her family” from alleged “troublesome behavior” from Collin.

In July 2023, Kate targeted Collin, calling him “violent and unpredictable” and claiming he had “fabricated” abuse allegations against her.

Kate and Jon – who split in 2009 – share twins Madelyn and Cara, 23, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, 20.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 aired for five seasons on TLC from 2007 to 2017, once reaching 9.8 million viewers with its fifth season premiere.
