It comes as Kate revealed she was filming for a new project, following the release of her documentary, Kate Garraway: Derek’s Story.
The program aired last month as the final part of a trilogy of documentaries about her late husband Derek Draper’s battle with Covid after he died in January.
TV presenter Kate shared on her Instagram on Sunday a photo of a bouquet of beautiful orchids on board her flight, telling her fans that she had arrived home after flying to a mysterious location.
The Good Morning Britain presenter explained that she had just finished filming a secret project and teased that she wouldn’t be able to reveal details until September.
Kate did confirm that several “inspirational people” had been met during the filming, as she praised the airline’s staff.
She wrote: ‘Just got back home after an amazing week of filming where I met some really inspiring people (can reveal all in September).
‘Any flight that lands safely is a good flight for me! But this was exceptional. Despite international storms and delays, the staff were calm and friendly and managed to look as fresh as these flowers – even on landing. I look more like pot pouri, but feel great!!!’
Her latest TV show comes after Kate got emotional on GMB last month when she movingly said she didn’t want to give up as she spoke about her crippling debt from caring for her late husband.

She said she was ashamed of being ‘completely broke’ after having to pay £16,000 a month in healthcare bills, as she recognized her ‘well-paid’ job at ITV was not enough to cover the costs.
In the ITV documentary, Kate revealed she had racked up a mountain of debt when she was told Derek was not ill enough to qualify for funded care, while warning the system was on the verge of collapse.
The film, which will be released by Derek and Kate in May 2023, confronts the reality of Derek’s struggles and the effect on those around him, while also capturing the beautiful moments he spent with his family and never-before-seen images and footage.
Faced with a debt of up to £800,000, Kate admitted: ‘Derek’s care costs more than my salary from ITV and that’s before you pay a mortgage or household bills or anything for the kids – so that’s a sticking point.’
