Kate Bosworth talks divorce from Michael Polish

Kate Bosworth appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday where she opened up about her divorce from Michael Polish and finding happiness again.

The Blue Crush actress, 40, is engaged to Drew’s ex-boyfriend Justin Long, 44, and while that could have made for an awkward interview, it didn’t.

Drew, 48, said Kate was someone who didn’t like to give things up.

“I think for someone who really doesn’t want to fail at things and who wants to be so determined and disciplined, and the idea of ​​failing a marriage was so heartbreaking,” explained the Straw Dogs actress.

Kate was married to director Polish from 2013 to 2021.

‘It remains difficult. It’s still hard to think about, but ultimately I experience the process of understanding that it didn’t become a failure for me, but it became the completion of a chapter and understanding that that’s what life is,” she continued.

She concluded, “If life is the book, how beautiful it is to have chapters, how beautiful it is to have pages and I am truly grateful for that.”

Drew said, “So we have a very important person in common. My very dear old friend Justin Long, a friend, a dear friend. And he and Kate found each other in this world and became this incredibly joyful, close, real thing, the ultimate couple you’re looking for.”

Kate replied, “That’s so sweet. He loves you so much. He just loves you so very much.’

And the Win A Date With Tad Hamilton actress revealed that she encouraged Justin to appear on Drew’s show during season three.

“I was with him when he got the question, and he said, ‘Oh, Drew wants me to go on her show,’ and I said, ‘You have to do it!’ I was like, “Yeah, yeah, you have to do it.” I was so excited because I knew there is so much love between you two.’

The Never Been Kissed actress dated the Accepted actor for three years from 2007 to 2010.

Kate and Justin have been dating since December 2021 and confirmed their engagement on his podcast Life is Short with Justin Long in March.
