Kate Beckinsale took to Instagram on Saturday to get a behind-the-scenes look at the set of her latest action movie Canary Black, which is being shot in Croatia.

The actress, 49, wore a stunt suit and realistic make-up with a bloody gash on her lip and cheek.

In the film, from the makers of Taken and starring Liam Neeson, Kate plays top-level CIA agent Avery Graves, who is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her own country in order to save her kidnapped husband.

Kate then posed for a close-up to show off her fictional cuts and bruises, before revealing a real-life injury.

The stunner held out her arm, revealing a heavily swollen finger and wrist that she appeared to be holding up during filming.

Wearing a tan sweater and form-fitting black leggings, the Underworld star suppressed her giggles as she attempted to lower her bum onto the man’s face, only to wake him up in total bewilderment.
