Kate Beckinsale fires back at claims she is ‘too thin’ amid recent health scare: ‘I am trying to survive’

Kate Beckinsale is firing back at claims she’s ‘too skinny’ amid recent health concerns in the comments of her latest Instagram video on Sunday.

The 50-year-old – who revealed her methods for warming up as an actress – stood up for herself as she rocked several retro-style outfits and hairstyles in her trailer.

Some fans questioned the Stolen Girl star’s health, writing: ‘Sorry to say this, Kate, but you do look a little thin. You’ve always found a good balance… But when your cheekbones show, the balance is lost.’

Another top commenter wrote: ‘Please eat something. I love you, I’m very concerned about your skinny appearance.’

Fans were concerned about the blonde beauty because she recently posted photos of herself in the hospital looking weak.

‘Kate! I think you’ve lost too much weight! You look great as usual, but please put on some weight!’ another write.

One top commenter added: ‘Strike a pose… and have fun. You’re super thin… losing weight?’

‘What happened to you? You used to be beautiful,” someone said, causing the sparkler to fire back:

‘I’ve been really sad. I saw my second father die. It made me sick. I’m sorry you find me less attractive. I didn’t give a fuck**.”

Underworld star Beckinsale continued to chatter, writing: “I nursed mine.” [stepdad] until his death early this year.

‘My mother also has everything. “I’m adjusting to seeing two fathers die, one when I was five, and one in January this year,” she added.

Earlier this year she lost her stepfather Roy Battersby after a short illness.

Beckinsale was also the one who found her biological father Richard’s body after he died of a heart attack when she was young.

‘I lost my soulmate cat of almost 19 years, also last year. I was in the hospital for six weeks due to profuse vomiting of blood from a… [Mallory-Weiss tear] caused by the stress of a whole year, leaving a gap between my [esophagus] and stomach,” she shared.

She also added that she had “a severe flare-up of diabetes.” [her] mast cell disease,” which is “assuaged by stress, shock, and grief.”

The starlet continued to defend herself: “That’s what I’m willing to reveal and that has contributed to some weight loss.

“What you think about my appearance and how I should look, regardless of the circumstances of my life and that of my family, is not important.

“I’m trying to survive what feels like unbearable losses, have reactivated PTSD from discovering my very young father’s nearly dead body as a very young child alone at night, and work to support the family I have left,” said she.

The Van Helsing actress called out a specific fan who felt they should “bully females about their appearance.”

“The fact that you like girls who are heavier than me doesn’t figure into things that are important or relevant,

‘I don’t care what your taste in women is. “I care if you think any of us should be made aware of this… Do better,” she said.

Kate then fired back at another commenter who urged her to gain weight, saying: ‘Please eat something. I love you, I am very concerned about your skinny appearance.

“Enough,” she replied.

Some fans defended Kate, saying: ‘@ Everyone!!! You need to stop commenting on people’s weight, looks and life choices for God’s sake. Just because celebrities have over 500 followers doesn’t give you the green light to make unnecessary comments!!”

Another opened up about her losses, saying, “I know what heartbreak feels like having so many close family members, including two brothers. I’m glad you’re feeling better and having fun. Enjoy the good days because the hard days can drown you.”
