huiga, the indie studio formed by Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi and responsible for games like Crankin’s time travel adventure And Tenya Wanya teensunveiled his next project, to a Ton Thursday at the publisher Annapurna Interactive’s annual games showcase. The new game is about a teenager named Teen who seems to be stuck in a T pose.
to a T is described as a 3D narrative adventure “with a strong focus on character, interaction, story and exploration,” according to an official announcement. Players take on the role of Teen, who has a “unique attitude”, as they try to live their lives in a small coastal town. There is a giraffe. There’s also a dog that helps Teen with issues arising from their constant T-posing.
And while Teen apparently faces harassment for their condition, they will also “discover a new ability bestowed on them by their extraordinary attitude, and they begin to discover more about their mysterious origins.” The game’s catchy musical reveal trailer shows Teen spinning and flying (and crashing into a flying saucer).
to a T will feature a variety of mini-games: brushing teens teeth, eating food and petting the dog. Players can customize their teen.
Annapurna Interactive and uvula partnered with charitable foundation Able Gamersthey say, seeking feedback on the game’s design, seeking input on sensitivity and accessibility in regards to to a Ts starting point. The goal, the creators of the game say, is to make something “sincere” for everyone to enjoy.
to a T coming to Xbox Series X and Windows PC via Steam. Release date and price for to a T were not announced, but the game will be available through Game Pass at launch.
