Kat Von D flashes her tattooed midriff as she celebrates husband Rafael Reyes’ 50th birthday with their son Leafar, five, at Craig’s in LA
Kat Von D helped her husband Rafael Reyes celebrate his 50th birthday at Craig’s in West Hollywood on Thursday.
The tattoo artist, 42, and the Mexican writer and musician were accompanied by their five-year-old son, Leafar Von Drachenberg Reyes.
Interestingly, their son’s name is a playful variation on his father’s name: Rafael, spelled backwards.
The star, who recently shared an update on her all-black tattoo cover-up transformation, showed off her tattooed midriff in a long-sleeved black crop top, which she paired with black wide-leg pants.
She wore black vegan leather Poe Sandals, from her luxury vegan shoe brand Von D. The shoes have bright red insoles and retail for $200.00.

The star – born Katherine von Drachenberg – showed off her tattooed stomach in a long-sleeved black crop top, which she paired with black wide-leg trousers.
Kat, born Katherine von Drachenberg, completed her outfit with dark gothic make-up, a black bag and a silver necklace.
Rafael wore a sheer black long-sleeved shirt that was partially open, black pants and a pair of cowboy boots.
He shielded his eyes with sunglasses and put his arm sweetly around Kat’s waist.
Their son wore a rocker T-shirt, black pants and sneakers.
Kat also shared a snap of her sweetheart with her husband on Instagram Stories on Thursday, in which she gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
“My husband,” she captioned the photo, which was taken at El Mercadito, a market that offers a mix of shopping, dining and entertainment with a strong Mexican cultural influence. In another photo at the market, she posed with Leafar.
Earlier this week, Kat gave us a glimpse into her family vacation to Mexico, her native country.
In the caption, she also said it had been a “rough year” and that she was grateful to have some time off and make new memories.
In one photo, she and Rafael were seen on a yacht, with beautiful blue water in the background.

Kat — who recently won a copyright case over a famous Miles Davis photo — made a splash in a theatrical black wide-brimmed hat and matching black dress. Meanwhile, Rafael wore overalls.
In another photo they were exploring water caves with Leafar.
Kat smiled broadly at her son as she swam with him and explored the scenic surroundings.
Her full caption read: ‘It’s been a rough year honestly. I’m so grateful to be able to spend some much needed family time away from all the chaos and I can’t thank you enough @thefivesoceanfront + @romarleybeachhouse for making this little family vacation so special!’
“The beautiful views, the food, the activities, the warm hospitality — but most of all the memories I made with my husband, my son, my father, and my uncle. You have no idea how meaningful it was to return to my motherland in this way.”
Kat married Rafael in February 2018. She gave birth to their son in November.
She was previously married to fellow tattoo artist Oliver Peck in 2003. They separated in August 2007 and finalized their divorce later that year.
The star was also previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James and musician Deadmau5.
Last month, Kat posed for a shocking new photoshoot that showed off her all-black tattoo.
The star, who first revealed in October that she would be covering up all of her colorful tattoos with solid black ink, spoke candidly about her decision in an interview with Ink Magazine.

“I think I’ve had enough of the tattoos that I’ve had over the years for a long time,” Kat confessed to the outlet, adding that she reached out to an artist, Hoode, who specializes in blackout tattoos to get the ball rolling.
“I just couldn’t explain how satisfying it was to see how much mess he cleaned up with his blackout tattoos,” the LA Ink alum recalled. “I think at the time I thought I was just going to blackout an arm, but soon after I knew I was going to eventually tattoo my entire body.”
Last fall, Kat posted a video of the blackout process on her Instagram feed, explaining that it took 17 sessions and nearly 40 hours of work to get “about 80% done with the blackout process of my body.”
