Karl Stefanovic was caught on Christmas Day when he made a very unfortunate blunder during the busy morning of festivities.
His wife Jasmine gave insight into their hectic festivities with their daughter Harper, four, via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
She posted a photo of a stressed-out Karl trying to put together a pink Barbie car for Harper, surrounded by loose parts and the manual.
The Today Show host, 50, made a rookie mistake by not building the vehicle until the morning of Christmas Day, no doubt leaving Harper excited to play with it.
In an accompanying caption, Jasmine joked about his blunder as she wrote, “Don’t think your plan to do it on Christmas morning was very wise.”
It’s not the first time this Christmas that the couple has struggled to put together Barbie-themed gifts.

Earlier in the day, Jasmine shared a photo of her trying to put together a “2,000 piece” Barbie dream house for Harper.
Jasmine sat on the floor next to the unassembled pieces with a frustrated look on her face as she worked hard to assemble the playset.
She hilariously captioned the photo: ‘How nice, Christmas thanks. Barbie dream house comes in 2000 pieces.”
The Barbie dream house set comes with approximately 75 pieces to assemble and usually takes between 45 minutes and an hour to assemble.
Their Christmas celebrations come just days after the family suffered a huge shock when Harper went missing for an hour while they were on holiday in Noosa.
Police were called to their Noosa holiday home at around 4.20pm on December 16 when Harper disappeared from their sprawling holiday home, which overlooks the beach.
A panicked Karl, 50, and his wife Jasmine, 40, frantically searched the area as a Queensland Police helicopter hovered overhead in search of Harper.
It wasn’t the first time on Christmas Day that the couple struggled to put together Barbie-themed presents, with Jasmine also struggling to put together a dream home for Harper.
Neighbors also joined the search, checking nearby streets and forest trails, while Karl’s eldest daughter Willow, 19, and her boyfriend Genaro Abdala Garcia checked the beach.
Fortunately, Harper was found an hour later “curled up asleep under a chair where no one could ever have hidden” in their vacation home, Karl told the Daily Telegraph.
Willow has returned to Australia to spend the Christmas holidays with her family after moving to Britain to study at the London College of Fashion.
Karl shares Willow and his two other older children Jackson, 24, and River, 17, with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
