Karl Stefanovic and wife Jasmine reveal their two-year-old daughter Harper is afraid of balloons: ‘We have to help her beat this’
Karl Stefanovic and wife Jasmine Yarbrough have revealed that their toddler daughter Harper May, two, has a fear of balloons.
Shoe designer Jasmine, 39, shared a lovely photo of Harper posing with a bright blue balloon on Instagram when host Karl, 48, revealed her phobia.
“You,” was the caption of Jasmine’s post, before Karl commented underneath.
‘When [she] was not afraid of balloons,” he wrote.
Jasmine added: ‘I know what happened?!? We have to fill the whole house with balloons to help her overcome this fear.”

A follower of Jasmine said that an idea to help Harper overcome the fear would be to show her a balloon being inflated and bursting open, which Jasmine “liked.”
Globophobia is the official term used for the “extreme, overwhelming and irrational fear of balloons.”
Under the post, Karl and Jasmine’s sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys remarked, “Baby doll,” while Jasmine’s sister Jade remarked “Angel.”

Earlier this month, the family enjoyed a relaxing Easter break in Noosa, where they own a holiday home.
It came months after footage surfaced of Karl and wife Jasmine attempting to break up a fight between Michael Clarke and Jasmine’s sister Jade in the coastal town.
On January 18, extraordinary footage emerged of a heated argument between Michael Clarke and his then-girlfriend Jade Yarbrough while they were on holiday in Noosa.
In the video, which was filmed by an onlooker on Jan. 10 and later sold to The Daily Telegraph for reportedly $10,000, Jade accused Clarke of cheating on her on Dec. 17 with his ex, fashion designer Pip Edwards.
The video opens with Jade yelling at Michael before punching him in the face and pushing him away after the cricketer insists he wasn’t cheating on her.
It’s been revealed that Michael, 42, and Jade are no longer together after the incident – much less on speaking terms.
