Extraordinary moment Shirtless Michael Clarke and Today Show host Karl Stefanovic face off in a wild late-night brawl, when the cricket legend is slapped across the face and accused of cheating on his ex Pip Edwards.
Shocking images have emerged of Karl Stefanovic embroiled in a heated late-night exchange with his good friend Michael Clarke in front of shocked onlookers in a public park.
The Today show host and Australian cricket great clashed while on holiday with their respective partners, sisters Jasmine and Jade Yarbrough, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on January 10.
All hell broke loose as the couples dined at a beachside restaurant in Noosa with celebrity accountant Anthony Bell.
The melee is understood to have been over Clarke’s ex-girlfriend, high-profile fashion designer Pip Edwards over recent text messages between the pair.
Dramatic footage obtained by the Daily Telegraph shows a man shirtless Clarke being slapped by his irate girlfriend while others in the group try to defuse the situation.
“You fucked her on December 17th…You fucked her, you fucking dog,” Jade is heard yelling.
Clarke is heard telling Jade that she didn’t cheat on her and that she was with Bell the night in question.
“Baby, you’re wrong, you’re wrong,” he is heard saying.
‘Baby, baby, Belly was in the house. I swear on my life, I swear on my life… That’s not true, that’s not true.
Stefanovic’s wife, Jasmine, steps in to grab her distraught Jade by the arm and pull her away as Clarke turns on her fury.
Clarke, limping after tearing his hamstring earlier in the fight when Jade dragged him to the ground, then turns his fury on Stefanovic.
“Karlos, I can tell you now s**t, don’t look away. She can, she can hit me, but you idiot,” says Clarke.
Jade fires up again, defending Stefanovic and slapping Clarke across the face.
“You’re a piece of shit, don’t talk to him,” she says.
A bystander was heard yelling “there are children there” and told the group to take their fight elsewhere.
Clarke has taken full responsibility for what happened.
“I accept full responsibility for this altercation and am devastated by my actions,” he told the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night.
