Kari Lake tells supporters to ‘strap on a Glock’ and ‘be ready for action’ heading into 2024 campaign

  • The Republican Senate candidate from Arizona appeared to make a veiled threat during Sunday’s event
  • Her “strap on a Glock” comments were made at a Republican dinner in Mohave County

Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake told a crowd to “put on a Glock” at a recent event as the 2024 election season heats up.

Lake was speaking at a Republican dinner in Mohave County on Sunday when she told law enforcement officers and veterans in the audience that it’s going to be a “crazy run” over the next six months.

‘They’re coming after us with everything. That’s why the next six months are going to be intense,” Lake said.

‘What do we want to tie up? We’re going to fasten our seat belts. We’re going to put on our helmet or your Kari Lake ball cap. We’re going to put on the armor of God,” Lake said.

“Then maybe you could strap a Glock to the side just to be safe. You can put one here and one in the back or one in the front, whatever you decide,” she said, gesturing to her hip.

Lake’s comments come as tensions rise as the 2024 election season heats up and concerns grow about political rhetoric leading to violence.

‘We are not going to become victims of a crime. We will not let our Second Amendment be taken away. Our First Amendment will certainly not be taken away by these tyrants,” she added.

Video of the comments was posted by NBC News.

The right-wing candidate from Arizona and close ally of former President Trump said this is “the moment we have to save our country.”

Lake said Trump is willing to “sacrifice everything” and claimed “they’re coming after us with lawsuits.”

DailyMail.com asked the Lake campaign to clarify what Lake meant by suggesting the public “strap on a Glock.”

Trump overwhelmingly won Mohave County on Arizona’s western side with 75 percent of the vote in 2020.

But overall, Arizona is one of the biggest battleground states in 2024, both in terms of the presidential election and the battle for the Senate.

President Biden won the state from Trump by just over 10,000 votes in 2020.

The Democratic party denounced Lake’s recent comment, saying it has “no place in our political discourse.”

Speaking about Trump’s indictments at an event in Georgia last June, Lake warned that anyone who came after Trump would have to “go through” her and 75 million Americans like her.

“I’m going to tell you that most of us are card-carrying members of the NRA,” she told a crowd at that event.

‘That is not a threat, that is a government announcement.’
