Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That loses yet ANOTHER character as Max confirms actress is exiting the show following Che Diaz

Another cast member has left And Just Like That… as the Max series prepares for its third season.

Karen Pittman, who played Professor Nya Wallace in the spin-off Sex and the City, is walking away after two seasons, citing “scheduling conflicts.”

“It was a joy to see Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace in the first two seasons of And Just Like That,” a spokesperson for Max said. Deadline.

‘Just as we greatly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so did others. Due to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has become clear that it is not possible to film three shows simultaneously,” they continued.

The statement concluded: “Due to production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of Season 3 of And Just Like That.”

Kristin Davis recently revealed that filming for And Just Like That… season three will begin soon.

The spinoff – starring Davis as Charlotte York alongside Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes – will return in 2025 after WGA and SAG/AFTRA halted delayed work on new scripts.

Kristin shared a montage of behind-the-scenes moments from the show, writing on Instagram, “It’s almost that time again… I can’t wait to be reunited with my AJLT family.”

The show was renewed on HBO’s streaming service Max in August, just days before the highly anticipated return of Kim Cattrall’s iconic Sex and the City character Samantha Jones.

In a statement, Max’s Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey said: “As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to (showrunner) Michael Patrick King and his incredible team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to us, 25 years later, charming with dynamic friendships and fascinating stories.’

Aubrey added, “We can’t wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”
