An angry resident of an upscale suburb has criticized pet owners for throwing away bags of dog poop in their bins.
The resident lives in the affluent suburb of Ascot, in Brisbane’s north-east, and found five bags of dog waste in her bin when she collected it on Wednesday.
She had left it on the sidewalk the night before so that it could be emptied by the garbage men the next morning.
She took to Facebook to express her disgust at the act and slammed those who threw away the bags of dog poop for disrespecting her property.
‘Locals pass by and [are] throwing their poop in my bin,” the anonymous resident wrote.
‘It’s unfair for locals to dump this in my bin.’
The resident said that to make matters worse, she discovered the bags on the day she went on vacation for four months.
She complained that it would have been “gross” if the bags had been left in the bins for so long without being collected until she returned.

‘The problem is that we are now going to the airport for a 4pm flight… [we] won’t take out our trash cans,” she wrote.
‘It’s unfair of me to throw it in the neighbour’s bin. Please take your dog’s poop home with you to your own waste bin.
“This is not right, to leave it to others… It’s your dog’s poop, you have to throw it away.”
Dozens of social media users poked fun at the resident for the whining.
“Wait, you crawled to the bottom of a smelly old garbage can to fish out five plastic bags and opened them all up to see what was inside?” wrote one.
Others said they disagreed with the resident’s argument that it was unfair for pet owners to dump dog feces in their trash bin.
‘It’s dog poop. in a bag. I’m sure there’s much worse in there,” one person wrote.
“Yes, it’s a pain, but better than stepping in the poop on the doorstep,” someone else wrote.
The resident said she had to ask her neighbor to put the bin out the following week so it could be emptied when the bin men came next week.
She said they found the comments on her post unacceptable.
“I am very disappointed with the responses, throw away your own pets feces,” she wrote.
Ascot is one of Brisbane’s most prestigious suburbs and is less than seven kilometers from the CBD.
