“He’s 46 and he’s still alive in 2009,” one fan joked.
Another asked, “Isn’t Kanye tired of being problematic? I’m sick of him (to be honest).”
“You know Kanye West is desperate to be talked about and have fame again when out of nowhere he puts our precious Taylor Swift on his lyrics again,” a third tweeted. “It’s honestly sad for Kanye.”
A fourth claimed: ‘He knows he only gets attention if he mentions Taylor or his ex Kim Kardashian.’
“Kanye has been really harassing Taylor since she was 19 years old. When will it stop?’ another wondered. “Really leave this girl alone…”
A handful of social media users speculated that he was “power chasing” and was just looking for controversy to generate sales and streams.
Regardless, it was pointed out that West’s decision to “include Taylor’s name alongside a bunch of men who are sex offenders is definitely a choice.”
Others groaned that they thought “we were past this.”
Despite using her names, one fan joked that the album will “still flop.”

He previously mentioned the Love Story singer in his 2016 song titled Famous.
He had rapped, “For all my South Side n****s that know me best/ I feel like Taylor and I might still have sex/ Why? I made that son of a bitch famous.”
Swift made it clear at the time that she took offense to the lyrics of his song Famous, and the accompanying music video also depicted a naked Taylor lying next to him in bed – along with a slew of other celebrities – with naked Kim. on the other hand.
Kanye defended the line, claiming he had a conversation with Taylor beforehand about the lyrics in question, which she denied.
However, Swift continued to accuse Kanye of lying about asking her permission to reference her in his lyrics, prompting now ex-wife Kim to release a partial recording of the conversation in question.
“I’m really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me about the song as a friend. It’s just a really cool thing to do, and a really good sign of friendship,” Taylor is quoted as saying.
Taylor hit back by claiming that while Kanye addressed certain aspects of the lyrics, she did not agree to her being referred to as a “b***h.”
The Bad Blood hitmaker recently opened up about the effect the lyrics had on her and the bitter feud between the rapper and the SKIMS founder.
While you’re talking to TIME after being named the magazine’s Person of the Year in December 2023, she addressed the dispute that started when West wrote the vulgar lyrics about the rising star.
He previously mentioned the Love Story singer in his 2016 song titled Famous, where he rapped: ‘I feel like me and Taylor may still have sex/ Why? I made that b***h famous’ (pictured earlier this month)
Taylor said the public said it felt like “a career death,” adding, “Make no mistake, my career was taken away from me.”
Addressing the aftermath and the cruel toll it took on her well-being, Swift added, “You have a completely fabricated frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, that Kim Kardashian edited and then told everyone I’m a liar used to be. .’
“That took me psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I have moved abroad. I haven’t left a rental house for a year. I was afraid to call.”
She later took another swipe at Kardashian, West and anyone she believes has tried to stifle her success, noting, “Trash takes himself out every time.”
“But I’ve also learned that there’s no point in actively trying to quote and unquote your enemies,” she said. ‘The waste takes itself out every time.’
Taylor’s feud with Kim and Kanye surfaced way back in 2009, seemingly out of nowhere, when 19-year-old Taylor was at the MTV Video Music Awards and accepted the award for Best Female Video for You Belong with Me.
West famously crashed Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, when we were just 19, to say he thought Beyoncé should have won the trophy (see above)
But the tension only continued when the father-of-four humiliated the star again at the 2015 VMAs by claiming he was only selected to present him with a ‘ratings’ award, while she claimed he made her had personally asked to come on stage with him; seen in 2015
Suddenly, in the middle of her acceptance speech, Kanye jumped on stage, grabbed the microphone from her hands and bellowed, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.” One of the best videos of all time!’
In an effort to defuse the tension, Beyonce later called Taylor on stage when she won Video of the Year for Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), giving the country music star a moment in the spotlight.

It seemed like the pair were getting along well, with Kanye joking, “Do you know how many times they announced that Taylor was going to give me the award because it got them more ratings?”
However, Taylor later revealed that his statement really annoyed her, as he publicly made it about ratings but privately asked her to be on stage with him because it would “mean so much.”
