Kanye West has reportedly been named a suspect in a battery investigation after the rapper allegedly snatched a cellphone belonging to a woman and threw it away.
according to a social media videoWest, 45, was on his way to his daughter North’s basketball game in Los Angeles when the alleged incident occurred.
The rapper, who apparently suspected paparazzi were following him, is seen getting out of his black Mercedes-Benz to allegedly confront the woman in her vehicle.
His new ‘wife’ was seen in the passenger seat of his car and did not follow the Grammy Award winner.

The woman, who has not been identified as a fan or a photographer, filmed the hitmaker from the driver’s seat as she said: “You didn’t have to run me over like that.”
‘If I say stop, stop with your cameras!’ Kanye continued, before the woman suggested that she could film him since he was a ‘celebrity’.
The response may have angered Kanye, as he allegedly snatched the woman’s cellphone before throwing it into the air.
It is unclear what led to the confrontation.
TMZ reported that he accused the woman of ‘following’ him and has since been named a suspect in an assault investigation.
The outlet further alleged that Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called and responded to the incident “around 4:30 p.m. and were provided with video evidence of the incident.”
