Kanye West could be BANNED from entering Australia to meet his new wife’s family over comments praising Hitler, minister warns: ‘We’ve turned people away for that in the past’

Kanye West could be banned from entering Australia due to anti-Semitic comments he has made.

The rapper, known as Ye, is reportedly planning a visit to Melbourne in the coming days to meet the family of his new wife, designer Bianca Censori.

Ye was widely criticized last year for praising Adolf Hitler during an interview with far-right American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Education Minister Jason Clare suggested his earlier comments could prevent Ye from getting an Australian visa.

While Clare didn’t know if the rapper had applied for a visa, she said a quick Google search revealed that he “seems to be a huge fan of a person who killed six million Jews last century.”

“People like that who have applied for visas to enter Australia in the past have been turned down,” he told Nine’s Today on Wednesday.

“I hope that if he runs, he would have to go through the same process and answer the same questions that they did.”

On Tuesday, opposition leader Peter Dutton said his inclination would be not to allow the rapper into Australia.

“Her anti-Semitic comments are disgraceful, her conduct and behavior are appalling, and she is not a person of good character,” Dutton told 3AW.

Dutton said the immigration minister had the power to stop bad-tempered people from entering Australia.

“My gut feeling would be if I was the decision maker, I think there are better people we could welcome,” he said.
