The juvenile suspects in the Kansas City parade shooting will be charged as adults, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
No charges have been filed against the suspects as of Friday morning — days after Wednesday’s mass shooting in which beloved DJ and mother, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, was killed on the spot in front of her children.
Two yet-to-be-named suspects are currently in custody as police in Missouri continue to investigate what happened at the stricken Super Bowl celebration. A third juvenile initially believed to be involved has since been determined not to be related to the shooting and was released.
Eighth-grader Cash Adams, whose left leg was grazed by a stray bullet, was back at school Thursday.

The 22 injured ranged between 8 and 47 years old, half of whom were younger than 16 years old. Children’s Mercy Hospital said it treated 11 children; nine of them had been shot and three remained hospitalized Thursday. All victims are expected to recover, officials said.

Lopez further revealed how his sister – a disc jockey on a Spanish music program on community radio station KKFI – was the youngest of four siblings, including himself.

He added that the mother of two had also been a die-hard Kansas City fan, and was over the moon when they won the big game.

However, medical staff there said both are showing signs of improvement – while Graves revealed that of the three people detained after the incident on Wednesday, two are still being held.
