The Kansas City Chiefs unveiled their Super Bowl LVIII jerseys by making a clear and obvious reference to one of Taylor Swift’s hits as she travels from Tokyo to Las Vegas to see her NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce to play.

The Chiefs shared a four-second clip of quarterback Patrick Mahomes brushing dust off a red home jersey with his No. 15 on it to promote their new uniforms, while posing in the team’s usual white game pants.

“Are you ready?” the Chiefs’ X account tweeted as the caption to the video.

Embroidered with the usual Super Bowl patch, as well as the AFC patch following last Sunday’s title win against the Baltimore Ravens, this year’s jerseys for Super Sunday will also include an NKH patch in memory of Chiefs owner Clark’s mother Hunt: Normal Knobel Hunt. She died last June at the age of 85.

Knobel Hunt was also a minority owner of the Chiefs.

Kelce was all excited to pose for the teaser

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were the poster boys for the unveiling of this year’s Chiefs’ Super Bowl jerseys, as they will wear their usual honorary colors of red, white and gold

In September, the team announced it would wear the “NKH” patch in her honor throughout the season. The Super Bowl against the 49ers will be no exception.

“My family and I are so proud to honor our mother’s life and legacy this season,” Clark Hunt said in a statement at the time.

“My mom loved football, and she loved the Chiefs. She also believed in the power of sport to unite communities, and the impact it can have on young people.”

The Chiefs’ Super Bowl matchup with the 49ers will also be the first major game without Norma Knobel Hunt in attendance.

An embroidered “NKH” patch will appear on Chiefs jerseys for Super Bowl LVIII in tribute to former Chiefs minority owner Norma Hunt, the late mother of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt

According to SB Nation, before her death, she was one of the few people to have gone to every Super Bowl since the original AFL-NFL World Championship Game in 1967.

‘NKH’ managed to see her Chief in five of them, including the team’s first and last Super Bowl wins: a 35-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl I (1967) and a 38- 35 on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII last year.

The last Super Bowl that ‘NKH’ saw in person ended up being the Chiefs’ second title in four years, as Mahomes and Co. won their first ring in 2020.

Now the Chiefs just hope to win in their first Super Bowl appearance since her death.
