Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce announces he will host Saturday Night Live next month, while making a reveal on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon just days after winning the Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has announced that he will host one of America’s favorite television shows, Saturday Night Live, in March, not even a month after winning the Super Bowl.

The 33-year-old made the revelation while appearing on the latest episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, just one day after a noisy super bowl parade back in Missouri.

‘We have a big announcement that we’re going to announce here on tonight’s show. I am very excited about this. You’ll be back in our building in a few weeks. Can you tell why you come? Fallon asked Kelce.

“Of course,” the two-time Super Bowl champion replied. “I mean, growing up, I was a great guy, Farley, Farrell, Fallon, the kind of person who grew up and yes, I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mom.

“And it’s an absolute honor and a privilege to host SNL on March 4.”

Kelce was in good spirits while appearing on the latest episode of the Tonight Show on Thursday.

The 33-year-old appeared on television for the first time since his first-quarter TD in the Super Bowl.

The eight-time Pro Bowler added that he is nervous about appearing on the show, along with another newcomer, country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerino.

However, Fallon reassured the NFL star that he can sing and that “he’s so charming” and “fun.”

“Thank you very much,” replied a nervous Kelce, who had six receptions for 81 yards in a 38-35 win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The tight end also had a touchdown in the first quarter of the Kelce Bowl against his older brother, Jason, 35, who plays center for Philly.

The two brothers became the first pair of brothers to play against each other in Super Bowl history.

On their podcast, New Heights, they summed up their separate experiences leading up to the buildup to America’s most popular broadcast.

On the latest episode of the podcast, Jason and Travis also talked about an “amazing week” for their mom Donna, who wore the colors of the Eagles and Chiefs on Sunday.
