Kansas City Chiefs reveal most played artists of 2024… but does Taylor Swift crack the list?
The Kansas City Chiefs have been listening to a lot of music in their locker room this year, but it appears the most famous member of Chiefs Kingdom hasn’t had much of a presence on players’ Spotify Wrapped lists.
In a TikTok posted by the Chiefs social media account, the team asked players to reveal their most streamed artists of the year.
Swift’s friend, Travis Kelce, was not interviewed as part of the clip, but several of his teammates were.
Defensive tackles Mike Pennel and Chris Jones said rapper NBA YoungBoy while running back Kareem Hunt chose another rapper: Rod Wave.
Offensive tackle Creed Humphrey called out Nashville rock band Kings of Leon, while cornerback Nazeeh Johnson revealed it was Chris Brown.
Other names on the list included Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Tems, Future and Drake.
Taylor Swift (R) was not on the Kansas City Chiefs’ most-streamed artist lists in 2024
But no player in the video chose Swift. Many commenters on TikTok noted the “Evermore” singer’s absence, but also roasted other players for their choices.
“You all misunderstood the assignment,” one commenter wrote. Another said: ‘Chris Brown??? By 2024?? Impact.’
Many Swift fans were eager to know why Kelce wasn’t involved, saying, “Where’s our Travy for this question?” while another said, “I’m personally offended by the fact that Travis Kelce wasn’t involved in this.”
Another Swiftie pointed out that Kelce’s inclusion was a moot point, saying, “We don’t need an answer from Travis that we already know.”
While she may not have won the hearts (and headphones) of all the Chiefs, Swift did clock in as the most streamed artist on Spotify worldwide – with her 2024 album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, finishing as the most streamed artist. albums around the world.
Travis, along with his brother Jason Kelce, addressed the end of her record-breaking Eras Tour on the latest episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast.
“Shout out to Tay, and the incredible Eras Tour has finally come to an end,” Kelce said on the Wednesday, December 11 episode.
Kelce added, “Shout-out to everyone who was part of that show. Obviously it’s her music, her tour and all that, but that was a full production, man. That thing was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people, but mostly because of Taylor.”
