Social media explodes after Kamala Harris’ ‘total trainwreck’ interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier

The controversial, dramatic interview between Fox News host Bret Baier and Vice President Kamala Harris immediately drew attention and reaction online after it aired Wednesday night.

Baier tried to pressure Harris on a number of key issues, but the vice president protested that he should let her finish her answers to the questions.

‘Kamala Harris just encountered a Bret Baier buzzsaw when asked about the number of illegal aliens in the country’ wrote conservative communicator Steve Guest when the interview aired.

Baier’s interview style was praised by former Fox News personality Megyn Kelly.

“Bret is crushing this and she is unable to defend her deadly border policies,” she says wrote.

When Harris struggled to answer how her presidency would be different from Biden’s, Kelly again criticized the vice president.

“My presidency will not be a continuation of Biden’s presidency, because I represent a new generation of leaders. THAT’S what she came up with after a week?’ she asked.

Harris’ interview also caught the attention of the Trump campaign, which blasted the vice president on social media.

‘Kamala Harris clearly feels unencumbered by the need to answer Bret Baier’s questions’ wrote Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller.

Others who weren’t big fans of Baier said they were impressed with his performance.

“I forgive Bret Baier. He’s literally ending Kamala Harris’ campaign right before our eyes!’ wrote Vince Langman, a Trump supporter.

At another point in the interview, Harris protested that Baier played the wrong clip when he asked her about Trump’s comment about dealing with the “enemy within” the country.

“This interview with Bret Baier is a perfect example of why Kamala Harris never got a single vote for president when she ran in the 2020 Democratic primaries. She’s terrible at this and clearly not ready for primetime, and everyone knows it,” wrote Federalist founder Sean Davis.

Others focused on Harris’ body language as she became incredibly irritated by Baier’s interruptions.

“Kamala Harris wags her finger and screams during interview with Bret Baier. Wrote Republican Dustin Grage of Minnesota. “This is a total disaster for her.”

At one point, Harris responded after Baier pointed out that more than 70 percent of the country believed the country was going in the wrong direction.

“You and I both know what I’m talking about. You know it and I both know what I’m talking about!’ she said, pointing back at Trump.

‘Not really. What are you talking about?’ Baier replied.

“TRAIN WRECK,” Trump’s National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on social media after the interview.

The Harris team accused Fox News of conducting an “ambush” interview and argued that she did a good job.

“Kamala Harris (strong) handled an ambush Fox interview light years better than Donald Trump’s (unstable) hash of the Fox pep rally disguised as a town hall,” Harris campaign adviser David Plouffe wrote on X.com.

Other political strategists disagreed.

“Kamala Harris is the opposite of unflappable. She is imploding inside herself and becoming visibly angry because she is faced with some tough questions for the first time in four years,” wrote the Republican politician. strategist Andreas Surabian.

‘That’s why they kept her in the basement. This is literally insane… I can’t believe how bad this has gotten,” Republican strategist Ryan James Girdusky wrote on social media, adding, “This is Kamala’s first interview like this and it was a disaster.”

Baier said after the interview on Fox News that Harris and her team arrived late to the interview and did not follow through on what they agreed to.

“We were going to start at 5 p.m…. originally we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes, it came in and said, well, maybe 20. So when we were already confused, the vice president showed up around five: 3 p.m.,” Baier said.
