Kamala Harris is skewered for her laugh in surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live

Kamala Harris wowed with her smile in a surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live, where she came face-to-face with herself just three days before the presidential election.

The vice president appeared in the cold for just over two minutes as a mirror version of Maya Rudolph, who plays her on the NBC sketch show.

Rudolph is preparing to give a speech when she wonders aloud if someone who has “been in her shoes” could give her a pep talk.

A smiling Harris then appears as himself on the other side of the table and says ‘you and me both sister’.

“I’m just here to remind you that you have this. Because you can do something that your opponent cannot. You can open doors,” Harris tells Rudolph.

A laughing Rudolph asks if she was referring to a video of Donald Trump opening a garbage truck door before his rally in Wisconsin last week.

The Democratic nominee was then mocked for her cackle when she asked, “I really don’t laugh like that, do I?”

Rudolph tilted her head and nodded in response in a scene similar to Hillary Clinton being roasted just before the 2016 election.

“Kamala, reach out and take my pamala,” Rudolph says.

She adds, “Kamala, the American people want to stop the chaos.”

“And end the drama,” the vice president replies as the audience laughs,

The pair then said in unison: ‘Keep Kamala and Carry On-ala’.

The Trump campaign immediately responded to her debut on the show by claiming she was using a fake accent.

“Kamala tries and fails again to seem remotely funny, relatable, or entertaining,” the MAGA War Room Twitter account said.

“Her cameo was uninspiring, as was her candidacy.”

The skit started with Chloe Fineman playing CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins introducing a “four and a half hour” Donald Trump rally where he said “where am I” and “get me out of here.”

Harris made the surprise appearance after diverting Air Force Two to New York City at the last minute.

The trip was kept quiet and the press was only informed after the plane changed course from its expected destination, Detroit.

Harris had just two events on Saturday, one in Atlanta and one in Charlotte, at a time when campaigns are blanketing swing states with candidates and surrogates.

While en route, she dropped a new poll that, with less than 72 hours to go, sent shockwaves through the presidential campaign.

Harris leads Trump 47 to 44 percent among likely voters less than three days before Election Day, according to the latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa poll.

It was a shocking result in a state that Democrats have not won since Barack Obama in 2012 and that could be an outlier.

But it suggested the gap between the two candidates could narrow even further in what is expected to be a historically tight election on Tuesday evening.

The visit is the latest in a long line of appearances by presidential candidates on the show, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.

Although the details of her appearance were kept under wraps, the show has featured comedians playing all the characters from the bizarre 2024 election. They include Dana Carvey, who has denounced President Joe Biden’s speaking style, and James Austin Johnson, who has mastered Trump’s mannerisms.

The performance was no laughing matter for Donald Trump’s campaign.

“Kamala Harris has nothing of substance to offer the American people, so that’s why she’s living out her twisted fantasy by cosplaying with her elite friends on Saturday Night Leftists while her campaign fades into obscurity,” said Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.

“Over the past four years, Kamala’s destructive policies have led to untold misery and pain for all Americans. She broke it, and President Trump will fix it,” he said. Trump has sued CBS for editing the “60 Minutes” broadcast, complaining it was “two against one” during his debate with Harris on ABC.
